It is matter of time to adopt this coin for services, charity, donations, etc. All bag holders should consider to share with their wealth, which is in fundaments of economy. Money should rotate, not just staked for dividends.

What about all those coins which are in billions units, are they better. 1% is good enough to not to hold for profit. Mintcoin for example has 20% reward in the first year, 15% second year, 10% third year, then 5%. Is it better model? I don't think so.

I see Blackcoin as a true alternative to other well established coins, if developed further respectfully.

Everyone sees in alt coins a profit model, but I want to see good 10 coins which are reliable with fast transactions to choose from in the next years. Let's see if Blackcoin have enough muscles to hit 10th place at least.

Respect to all other coin developers, with exception for so called scam coins. How much BTC people lost, because of PANDAcoin hype? Many!

I believe in Blackcoin, and even now I am not aimed to get profit from PoS. 1% is fair enough to support the coins life with your computer, sharing it's resources. Be it 0.5%, and I'd still loved it.

People should let the money be in rotation. If everyone will hold their fiat money in bookshelf, getting dividends from this stake, but only spend those dividends. What's if it happens? Money will loose it's value. I'm not economist, but understand with my humble mind that money should be rotated... So... don't be so greedy!

1% is also a pretty safe "let's just see how this works first" type of deal. If you set the rate too high, the compounding effect could really make it runaway. Having a low rate this ensures no concerns about the future supply amount of BC (ie "infinite coins"). There's time to figure it out.

You have to remember that with MINT, you have to hold the coins for 20 days before you start earning PoS rewards. With BC, it's only 8 hours before you become eligible.

I don't know where you have a bank account, but most banks give a sub 1% APY on savings accounts, in fact they give sub 0.1% APY typically. 1% is actually quite good, it allows for growth; But not rampant growth.

NXT is 100% POS and has 0% interest.

Way too early to talk about changing things. Don't change engine of aeroplane mid-flight. Plus it looks bad in the history books if on the first day of POS people are already campaigning to increase the interest rate.
