Can anyone help me with a Ubuntu Linux build? I downloaded source and built from source. Now when I run blackcond it says "Error loading wallet.dat: Wallet corrupted". Below is the log file. Hi publicjud, try running the demon again -- there's a known bug which prevents BC from running at first launch. Oh yes I remember ... would be great if this could be fixed now with the increasing interest of new investors. Also a workaround (i.e. simply create wallet twice on very first start) would suffice for now. Thanks for quick response. I tried launching again. Still says "error loading wallet.dat: wallet corrupted" How do I create wallet twice? Any other options I can try? this is Ubuntu server. Since you have no money in that wallet yet (right?) you can safely delete ~/.blackcoin/wallet.dat (or the whole folder) There is no money in the wallet, first time running. Brand new Ubuntu install. I deleted the wallet.dat file and it gives the same error. I delete the whole folder and same error. Tbh I first started the qt wallet (twice after initial crash) and not the demon. Can you make an X-forward and give that a try? I can try building qt. Do I need X11 or something? |

Yes you probably need a running X server otherwise Qt will rage hard when you run the program  If this is too much hassle I would wait for an answer of a dev on that (I am just a fellow Linux user). |

Do the people trading not know there are only a few BTC inflating the price 33% right now? lol Perhaps black coin will just ignore pump and stay at 3,000 for a chance  300 btc volume is a "few"? you can't think a price is not stable on ask/buy alone, there is a lot of eyes on blackcoin |

The last couple days it's just been going up slightly with the exception of the few pumps. Even after the pump-and-dumps the increase still gradually continues. This is the way I prefer a coin to behave. |

For those who PM'd me about initial testing on my BC paying node -
If all goes well, I may have my DOGE/LTC(etc) mining BC paying P2P node up and running tonight for initial testers. I had hell last night getting the node setup on a dedicated machine for some reason. The node just wasn't accepting any shares, even though my GPUs were working hard. So this morning I copied over the p2pool folder from the virtual machine I had been working on previously, and now it's accepting shares as it should. But I believe I need to let it run a few hours myself (just on my miners) before the P2P network starts paying out, as this node is on a separate internet line and looks brand new to the P2P network.
Will give an update later today, and if everything looks good later, I will send mining url details to those who have PM'd offering to help test.

Yes, I think if you go back to BTC, LTC and even DOGE nobody expected those prices to get that high. What's amazing still, is cryptos haven't even reached far less than 99% of the people, we are talking probably .001% or something of the population, and look at the prices, just wait til it's user friendly to grandma, or the non tech savvoy. Plenty here will be swimming with wealth. |
