We are already VAT registered and our listed prices are inclusive of VAT. We also have an EROI number for exporting from the UK.

Hi. I thought the prices are inclusive of VAT!! I was getting ready to pay for my order but at the end of check out..surprise..VAT on top of the advertised price. Is that right? Have I missed something? Plus, no option to "pick up" as they have stated before on here and on the phone. 120 quid for delivery in London?!?
Final price for one Enigma 1 delivered in London Uk = £2322!

Bitcoin Ultra: Order #46 has been processed

Enigma 1 - 750GH/s Bitcoin Miner - 4

Now let hope for the best that I don't have to use section 75 of the consumer credit act  Grin

Order #45

STATUS:   Processed
DATE:   07/03/2014, 16:18

I was thinking section 75 as I hit confirm also.

When better evidence shows up might jump in further will see.

Is your invoice in £ or $? No English court will touch a trade dispute in $ you'd have to duke it out in the USA!

Distance selling regulations have a loop hole for items who's value is linked to a fluctuating market price too so don't count on them either!

I'm also waiting to see inside, but he did mention that it was just the case and he'd be posting pics of the boards later when he gets on site...

Just a reminder Chris we are still waiting on these and yes it matters a lot because:

Q:Will my mining hardware look like the one in the picture?

Q: No, the image is for illustration purposes. At present, the Enigma 1 and 2 are housed in a standard sized computer case. The Enigma 3 and 4 are housed in a 3U rack mountable case. We will be releasing final product shots in the next few weeks.

That blue Box in the picture sure looks like the illustration so we can assume that picture you took for us is not even a relevant empty blue box picture.

I'm sure you are aware of cooling off ?

http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/england/consumer_e/consumer_different_ways_of_buying_e/consumer_buying_by_internet_mail_order_or_phone_e/consumer_cancelling_a_distance_sale_order_e/how_long_is_the_distance_sale_cooling_off_period_when_you_buy_goods.htm

I have not received the following:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Written information you should get after you've bought the goods or services

Information about your cancellation rights

The written information about the right to cancel the agreement should include:

how to cancel an agreement and the conditions which apply a postal address where you can contact the trader whether it will be your responsibility to cover the cost of returning the goods, and all associated costs, if the agreement is cancelled if the contract is for a service, a statement explaining that if you agree to the service being performed within the cancellation period, you will lose the right to cancel within seven working days from the day after the conclusion of the contract.

Information about after-sales and guarantees

You should receive information about after-sales services and guarantees provided by the trader.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So unless you consider this product exempt It would be really nice to have these mailed to us.

Many thanks V4

PS. will mail you this tomorrow as this forum thread would not be sufficient for my own personal documentation.

Dude you know you could make soo many people happy next week by going and seeing the place and taking pictures. Of course while your there you can work out a personal pick up as he has suggested.

@ pickaxepete

Yep I was exactly the same I have 100% faith while on the phone to him he is knowledgeable and seems competent and trustworthy. Which is exactly why I am following up everything I can and wanting to make sure I understand my rights. No one in the Bitcoin hardware industry is like this.

So too good to be true ..well you know the rest Wink

Again if its all true then I'm happy to pay these really high prices and I hope this company can stay in the game long term.

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000
Exceptions to the right to cancel
13.(b) for the supply of goods or services the price of which is dependent on fluctuations in the financial market which cannot be controlled by the supplier.
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2000/2334/regulation/13/made

I would say that cover Bitcoins and their miners. Wink The only way you can get out of a contract is if they don't deliver on time or 30 days if unspecified.

I am aware (and that a company might try to exploit this loop hole) of this and to my knowledge if this ends up in court on those grounds it would be the first bitcoin case of its kind in the UK.

I also still have a right to ask what this company considers my rights are with regard to this.

Don't get me wrong I want that miner and the last thing I want is to cancel.

Why? It doesn't mean anything. You could get that tag in a day or two if you're really bored and have nothing better to do than type. It's just a post count thing.

Roll Eyes Yep alot of truth in that. I guess you could always go view all their posts and then make a more informed decision about the worthiness of said review.

If we ever get these I could write a review from a noob asci miners perspective and that would only serve to highlight the ease or difficulty of installation etc.

Read a bunch reviews from people that have conducted themselves well over the last few years and that might be a better indication.

Well put. I'm a "senior member", but just a few months ago I was a newbie. I talk alot, and try not to be TOO wrong, but it really isn't any indication of character, or even time in service.
