Ask Anon136 for escrow.

We will look into him/her.

hmmm.. "Risked BTC amount" 1.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=3028

We would prefer a Bitcoin core dev or foundation member.

anon136 is currently holding 85 BTC for eXocoin doing escrow for their IPO. // his main address

He's also highly trusted member of the NXT community. I don't know anyone better to provide escrow for you (in case he accepts to do it), hence I can personally suggest him. Wink

I'm quite sure there are a few other trustable members around. Good luck!

Awesome! PM me and we can go over things.  Your block explorer may require some modification to work with Heavycoin.  For example, to show votes.

thanks

I would suggest John K. He is a global mod here and handled millions of dollars worth of escrow transactions. Dealt with him, he was always professional.

Being a Bitcoin Foundation member says nothing, only that you have at least a spare $25 that you can spend on a year's membership or $250 on a lifetime membership.

Edit: John K. has not been online for more than a month.

Has there actually been any cpu only coins that remained that way?

To the best of our knowledge, no.  That's why we started work on Heavycoin.  http://heavycoin.github.io/about.html

Well, then. That's got my full attention. CPU at the ready when you are.

Thanks for the recommend for Anon136.

We're speaking to Come-from-Beyond ATM to see if we can work something out with him/her.  We figure, why not aim big?  That's a name everyone can trust.  Fingers crossed, but I would be surprised if he accepts.

This is an important question. The recent Riecoin launch was as fair as possible. Yet it was still co-opted at launch by massive AWS and botnet miners because of the lack of pools. Ordinary folks were left with little or nothing to show for their effort until Ypool added it.

We are working with doge94 to get a pool set up (he is due back a message from us).  Not promised, but we are trying our best!  Thank you for highlighting the importance of this.

This may be a dumb question, but how will i be able to pool mine this when the miner is built into the wallet?

We are trying to get an external miner ready ahead of the launch, e.g., https://github.com/pooler/cpuminer
Again, not promised, but we are trying our best, as we think this is important.

I made Polish translation of the ANN post.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=485523.0

Heavycoin looks really interesting. There has been a lot of development work put into it from what I can see from the website and the video demo.

I wish you all the best with your cool coin!

thnkz  1,000 HVC bounty for you!  Zdecentralizowane is my new favorite word

I think that's about enough for translation bounties.  though I'll make one last call for a German translation!
