Litecoin creator Charlie Lee has revealed on social media that he sold and donated all his Litecoin holdings over the past few days. The announcement was meant to show he no longer has a conflict of interest in promoting the altcoin but the timing has sparked some backlash against Lee. Founder of Litecoin Charlie Lee has informed the community today that he no longer has any meaningful direct exposure to the cryptocurrency, having sold and donated all his Litecoin holdings in recent past days. Writing on Reddit he explains that this was done to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest when promoting Litecoin as someone with so much social influence. Lee reassures his followers that this does not mean he is quitting Litecoin and will still spend all his time working on the cryptocurrency he created. Lee also explains that he will continue to benefit from the growth of Litecoin – just not by holding the cryptocurrency itself.
He SODL for our sins!

Oh my god, this is really an old thread. Reading now at this point, the feeling is so strange. By going through the thread, you can see the thought change in the different stage in the past several years, following the growth of the crypto currency world.

1LTC=1BTC 1ETH=2BTC
2020
FALSE. LTC is 1/4 of BTC. Confirmed even by Charlie Lee. Will never be 1:1 with BTC. PERIOD. Too much optimistic about the price I also think it wont happen in short time of period because bitcoin is the pioneer cryptocurrency. LTC is younger brother of it so that is really strange when someone try to compare like this.

Charlie Lee "sold all his litecoin" to "prove" he has no conflict of interest promoting Litecoin. No Charlie, that's not what that would prove! It proves that you are spineless. A disgusting fish faced gook who stands for nothing! Congratulations! Somehow dumping Litecoin at the top is supposed to be applauded by your nimwit cult? Hi, I'm Charlie Lee inventor of Litecoin. It is an amazing system for sending value, it has massive room to grow, you should buy it now that its moved from $2 to $300! Oh you want me to show you how it works? Sorry, I don't own any. Fuck You!

So Charlie Lee dumped all his LTC at its high point and wants others to keep supporting it? If the one saying this does not support it by holding or buying LTC, then why should the rest of us? Charlie Lee selling all his LTC to prove he has no conflict of interest promoting Litecoin means he has nothing to lose if LTC fails, in other words he used his escape pod and bailed out of it. When the inventor of anything doesn't even use his/her own product, then why the hell should others? Also LTC becoming 1/4th of BTC price was fiction as well, by that it should be over 4k$ price, it's not even 1/4th of that, more like 1/4th of 1/4th of 1/4th.

The deeper the correction the stronger the charge when its over. Right now TA is useless, as BTC is in control of what LTC is doing. It seems that we've locked in to it and tried to break out yesterday but the BCash thing completely ruined the party. Charlie Lee selling his stack is not bullish, but it's not as bearish as people think. He's an interesting dude and tries sometimes too hard to be clear and transparent (with good intentions of course), which sometimes fails him as it is seen by the general public as a bad sign or bad PR. Ultimately, once Bcash trading goes live on GDAX and the storms settle down, we'll see actual movement and return to normal for LTC. I still see us in the $320+ area as Charlie selling his coins is not the main reason for this downside. The current downside completely mirrors what BTC is doing, which is panicking ahead of Bcash trading.

Everyone is talking about LTC these days. It seems that this time huge increase in its value is inevitable. That tweet by staohilite about development and partnerships explains many things in those few words. I also will redirect some of my holdings into LTC over the next few days.

The transparency by Charlie Lee is good to hear. He should be rewarded since his work went up in price. Litecoin could very well rival Bitcoin in the future. I hope the price will drop so I can buy more.
