I sold my litecoins at 5usd long time ago Sad
I feel bad for you my friend

You can still repair your mistake as Litecoin has to go lot more higher in coming days/weeks. You may expect easily $100 at first rally and then so on. These markets are progressing with high speed and LTC also gain visible share of the total marketcap continuously.

I think at least 10% of the Bitcoin value is to be expected as long term price.

Maybe some of those charts saying we were dropping to 47-57 are going to be correct.
Remember people saying who ever bought a couple days ago 78 were lucky.
Could have possibly got in at low 70's or 60's.
Regardless I'm holding until the correction is over and we go to 118 and beyond

I heard China "banned" bitcoin and may close exchanges.

Due to high correlation between BTC and alts, everything is going down. I think it's safer to step out now, maybe buy back in later? Don't know. OKCoin, BTCChina and Huobi are all down -15% or even more.
EDIT: It's unbelievably hard to talk to some people here. If you can't talk like a normal person about recent news and rumors, then ignore this comment.

Hi everyone!

We are a bit behind the times, but Litecoin has been added to Bitzure!
Bitzure is a new exchange made by traders for the traders and are actively looking at new digital currencies to add!

https://bitzure.com/markets/ltcbtc

Quick Links:

Hi all!

We would just like to pop by and thank you to the 1000+ traders that have signed up in the last 2 weeks of Bitzure being launched! We have had a lot of feedback, fixed some bugs and lots of suggestions.

We still want to hear from you all though!

Nothing is perfect, but we would like Bitzure to be as close to it as possible, so whether you have suggestions, want another currency added, complaints, or just want a friendly chat please let us know!

Regards,
Martin

Can't find any CORS enabled public blockchain API for Litecoin.

The only one that can be used for third party applications, blockr.io has ceased.

Tried http://explorer.litecoin.net/q but it's cors doesn't accept remote access. Why would someone set up a public API that cannot be accessed by the public?  Huh

anyone think that we may fluctuate between 70-75$ for most of today or is it likely more big moves are coming? I'm hoping to get some trades in before it rockets one way or the other :x

This isn't because of the China FUD.
The republic bank of china already released a statement about ICO's.
Maybe they will release another in a couple weeks about exchanges and btc/eth/ltc but imo this is a correction. It's been about 9 days since we hit 98.
Longest correction this year was 11 days i believe either in may or july.

I've spent a while trying to understand why the price went from 80$ to 70$ yesterday and I still don't get it.
Was there any significant indicator or reason why it dropped?
How could I have predicted something like that to happen?

I don't think you could have.
Market manipulation, and whales making some good profits I guess.

Litecoin is featured in our Chart of the Day segment. Come comment on our exclusive animated chart: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2165888.0
Do you think Litecoin will recover?

Hi
For me Bitcoin is gold, and Litecoin is silver.
For me Bitcoin can't be used for daily small transactions while Litecoin can.
Litecoin is faster, smaller token amount, ...
Then I invested in Litecoin.
Only minus is maybe we won't get the airdrop like bitcoin got (BCH and others...)

Interesting price action.
I didn't expect another dip like this.
Unless any news about LN comes out, I think we'll see a similar pattern to July where the weekend always brings a dip.
By midweek, we might be back in the $80s, and the weekend will take us back into the $60s.
