I don't like to read general comments like this. If you say the whole market will turn its directions, that just doesn't have to be true. We could also see a new generation of tokens that completely wipes out most of the existing alt coins.
Only small part of them can make a difference in the market.
Most of them will die out sooner or later. It's fact.
The most important thing is Litecoin is a good one, and will be a good one in the future. Litecoin can drop to lower position in coinmarketcap, but I don't think there are new altcoins can really wipe out Litecoin.  Roll Eyes
yes i agree with you
lite coin is good coin for hodl trade and payments. i hope lite coin will blow up in future
litecoin price is really down from its all time high price (more then 300$)
a lot of new coins and tokens coming in the market with great project and their teams working good on them
litecoin needs more developments and implementations
also BTC ETF rejected by sec. it will impact negative on the crypto market but nothing happens yet

The question is what place does Litecoin have if Bitcoin one day solves all its problems? What would you need Litecoin for then?

The biggest issue with LTC is BCH. Bitcoin Cash has taken the thunder from LTC for most of the last year or so. Thus a 'fork' 3 ways and mess that is BCH would

put LTC back into the running as silver to BTC 's gold. Just saying, stability will count a lot if BCH all goes to heck.

brad

BCH won't go to heck I reckon. Whether we like it or not, they have some considerable support for the whole thing if Jihan Wu is still in it. It's good though that LTC has had less drama and controversies, it is more a solid coin with a neutral story and maybe that's an advantage over time when it comes to adoption.

Charlie Lee (Litecoin, Lightning Network, etc.) | DashCast Ep. 1

Today, we talk to Charlie Lee, the founder of Litecoin. We discuss a variety of topics such as Charlie's personal past, Lightning Network, and much more.

Watch video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5Gl45WTsSw

Again this bipolar guy. Last year he said he was coerced into working at coinbase by people he owed money to, and had no other chance but withdraw from altcoin development and accept their job offer. Then he said if someone thinks hes fully employed at coinbase they should pass surgical procedure on their brain box because he has a part-time work schedule and is also involved in wrinkle-curing business.

At present, Litecoin coins are not very profitable, and the market is basically following bitcoin. Investors need to be patient enough to wait for LTC coins to rise next time.

yes litecoin price was at 59$ and today its price is about 65$
price is rising slowly. i mention that the price was at extremely bottomed
and now i think that price will not go down more then 59$ from last week
its a good sign of price rising.

Litecoin now available for buying/selling at Yahoo Finance.

"Mass adoption is achieved one step at a time." Wink

Lol, really amazing to know that crypto investors can use their litecoin on YahooFinance.
More demands to come with the appearance of Litecoin on Yahoo Finance.
Can I understand that this is a good news? What is the current audience of Yahoo Finance?

not to rain on the parade..but don't see this as a big deal...a debit card ...as they said in the past ..that is a big deal.this just seems 'gimicky'

show me I'm full of it..please..but again don't see it

brad

edit: duh...this is just a finance site you can't buy and sell on this right? sheesh....posted before I thought I did

whatever..its something I guess ..we need the debit card or IMHO LTC will go no place...

brad

Hmm.. strange, he says: Litecoin now available for buying/selling at Yahoo Finance.
And I cannot find any option to trade there. However even just a fact of adding to this site (one of the best financial sites in the world) is a big deal!
BTW what about Charlie Lee not going to buy his LTC back?

PS. I just find something here: https://app.algory.io/app/cryptonews/96840/yahoo-finance-adds-feature-to-help-users

Yes. Charlie needs to buy back his LTC because it represents his own self and not just this project. Kind of weird when a CEO of a company sold all its stake. BTW, you can't be the CEO anymore if that's the case.

I was very impressed by the convenience of fast transactions of SolidCoin most merchants can easily accept the transaction is confirmed 1 for a small amount Litecoin. They came up with a plan that we believe is the fairest.

It is possible to see impact of this conference on LTC's price as well. But most probably it depend on the market condition as well. If you are referring at little bit increase for this answer is yes. Listing on Yahoo finance is milestone as process of going to mainstream. Better hold on and wait for big return as indicators are turning to be bullish already.

Thats nice Ive never supposed yahoo would implement the trading engine. Why did they do that? We can ponder about this for a minute or two though do not expect to find the answer as ur brain volume is not enough to crack this egg without my help. Did they reckon to profit from giving noobs the opportunity to poke cryptos on their retarded site? No they wanted u to submit more clicks and outshine google in alexa rankings.

It looks like the growth of the whole market has gone and it is very good that Ltc does not lag behind as we all see from other coins in growth. Smiley

1) Litecoin does not have the same level of exposure to the wider market that Bitcoin does, as Bitcoin is the primary reserve currency. In the event of a market wide selloff Bitcoin would be hammered as investors rush to cash out so they can purchase items for day to day survival. Bitcoin is still the most popular gateway into a more easily spendable fiat currency, because it offers the path of least resistance.

In conclusion, I think that the greatest disservice that Litecoin's leadership and community can do themselves is self-identify as silver to Bitcoin's gold. They are signaling that Litecoin deserves a silver medal for runner up, and that Bitcoin can never be overtaken. Litecoin is effectively throwing away a very real opportunity to become 'Facebook to Bitcoin's Myspace'.

What do you think? Btc only has 8x more addresses than ltc so why is btc 100x more expensive? I think based on this ltc will gain vs price of btc.

This is based on old data, really old data. Litecoin can be exchanged directly into fiat on all major exchanges that support fiat:
-Bitfinex
-Coinbase
-Bitstamp
-Kraken
-Bithumb
-...

Even Gemini will be adding it.

Ltc addresses = 3224435 https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ltc/#!rich

Btc addresses = 28221242 https://www.blockchain.com/charts/my-wallet-n-users

I was talking about the fact that it's just as easy to sell BTC or LTC for fiat these days. Please name one single major exchange (besides Gemini) that offers fiat deposits/withdrawals and does not have a LTC/fiat trading pair.
