It is possible to see impact of this conference on LTC's price as well. But most probably it depend on the market condition as well. If you are referring at little bit increase for this answer is yes. Listing on Yahoo finance is milestone as process of going to mainstream. Better hold on and wait for big return as indicators are turning to be bullish already.

Litecoin now available for buying/selling at Yahoo Finance.

"Mass adoption is achieved one step at a time." Wink

Lol, really amazing to know that crypto investors can use their litecoin on YahooFinance.
More demands to come with the appearance of Litecoin on Yahoo Finance.
Can I understand that this is a good news? What is the current audience of Yahoo Finance?

not to rain on the parade..but don't see this as a big deal...a debit card ...as they said in the past ..that is a big deal.this just seems 'gimicky'

show me I'm full of it..please..but again don't see it

brad

edit: duh...this is just a finance site you can't buy and sell on this right? sheesh....posted before I thought I did

whatever..its something I guess ..we need the debit card or IMHO LTC will go no place...

brad

Hmm.. strange, he says: Litecoin now available for buying/selling at Yahoo Finance.
And I cannot find any option to trade there. However even just a fact of adding to this site (one of the best financial sites in the world) is a big deal!
BTW what about Charlie Lee not going to buy his LTC back?

PS. I just find something here: https://app.algory.io/app/cryptonews/96840/yahoo-finance-adds-feature-to-help-users

Yes. Charlie needs to buy back his LTC because it represents his own self and not just this project. Kind of weird when a CEO of a company sold all its stake. BTW, you can't be the CEO anymore if that's the case.

Thats nice Ive never supposed yahoo would implement the trading engine. Why did they do that? We can ponder about this for a minute or two though do not expect to find the answer as ur brain volume is not enough to crack this egg without my help. Did they reckon to profit from giving noobs the opportunity to poke cryptos on their retarded site? No they wanted u to submit more clicks and outshine google in alexa rankings.

It looks like the growth of the whole market has gone and it is very good that Ltc does not lag behind as we all see from other coins in growth. Smiley

1) Litecoin does not have the same level of exposure to the wider market that Bitcoin does, as Bitcoin is the primary reserve currency. In the event of a market wide selloff Bitcoin would be hammered as investors rush to cash out so they can purchase items for day to day survival. Bitcoin is still the most popular gateway into a more easily spendable fiat currency, because it offers the path of least resistance.

In conclusion, I think that the greatest disservice that Litecoin's leadership and community can do themselves is self-identify as silver to Bitcoin's gold. They are signaling that Litecoin deserves a silver medal for runner up, and that Bitcoin can never be overtaken. Litecoin is effectively throwing away a very real opportunity to become 'Facebook to Bitcoin's Myspace'.

What do you think? Btc only has 8x more addresses than ltc so why is btc 100x more expensive? I think based on this ltc will gain vs price of btc.

This is based on old data, really old data. Litecoin can be exchanged directly into fiat on all major exchanges that support fiat:
-Bitfinex
-Coinbase
-Bitstamp
-Kraken
-Bithumb
-...

Even Gemini will be adding it.

...

Ltc addresses = 3224435 https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ltc/#!rich

Btc addresses = 28221242 https://www.blockchain.com/charts/my-wallet-n-users

What is old data? It is easier to sell btc than ltc now.

I was talking about the fact that it's just as easy to sell BTC or LTC for fiat these days. Please name one single major exchange (besides Gemini) that offers fiat deposits/withdrawals and does not have a LTC/fiat trading pair.

What i don't understand is how people can dump Bitcoin cuz it's not an altcoin that could be dumped for bitcoin or even tether usd don't have that sort of volume to dump billions.. they need volume and if they are cashing out they need to pay taxes and are exposed.  So how does the news even refer to bitcoin dumping.. Its all Manipulations by bot
Idiots buy on fomo and rich sell

Charlie Lees decision to make some improvements to LTC, could bring some attention to the project.

Charlie Lee has wonderful plan to implement unique features on this network I also hope it will boost the growth. LTC is nice coin to keep eye on it because it has big space to grow in coming days.

I can not see any great future for Litecoin anymore.Because Charlie Lee said he would not buy it again. That's a good enough reason for me.

It is high leveled manipulation going on right now by big players openly. One thing has been cleared that cash/fiat is king so far in this competition between fiat and cryptocurrencies. When they want using fiat move any market up or down at their wish. Until these markets are not detached from fiat there will remain under their control. No one knows what's going on when to buy or not what to buy and what to avoid. There is a mess everywhere.

you realise they're making hundreds of millions a month by just pumping and dumping the price, even of the top 10 coins? Theyre not going to give up their cashcows now, its not about money anymore, its about power. They want to dominate everythign, and probably sooner than later they will
