There is a whole community here, that can help... Yet, they don't give us anything to work with, to help.
Instead, they attend secret anonymous meetings and anonymously try to "work on whatever"... No public discussions with the investors at all. Just notices of what we have to face next... or not face... since there is no face... no-one to hold accountable for anything.
Sorry I am looking for reasons to invest, for reasons to convince others to invest... I though they wanted more investors.
Feel free to buy my portion of the investment if you want me gone. lol. (At the moment, that would be 5.7 BTC and it is growing.)

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's
computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be
reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

They could at least send a private message to the normal users of this thread with the word "soon" in it to inform them that they at least still care. We are not even getting that. The most we have to go on at this point is some of them logged on recently. I do check the forums on the official website to see if they post there but it's pretty much dead.
I still buy some here and there but that is mostly to make up for the 2btc worth I purchased when the coin was still valued at 0.002 to lower the overall value of the coins I hold.

In any event, we could use some more steady and dedicated miners, to limit the abuse to the coin and help keep the value up.
I know it may be a little hard to digest at the moment, but that is the only solution until something is coded to assist that issue.
Concerns have been stated, over and over. It is just time for them to "discuss" resolutions to the issues, not time for more excuses as to why they don't think they are issues, or more useless whitepapers of other peoples ideas. (Or experimental theories.)
Like I said, they will do what is needed, or end-up swimming in AIRcoins alone.
If they do nothing, we can always release our own update, that locks them out entirely. It can be done, it has been done before, and it could happen here.

Ahh HAaa ISAWHIM you were staging a coup. I could hear it in the tone of your writings. Just like what happened in Orbitcoin. Okay we know you have a book written already. Spill the plan.

Has not reached that point... (They would have to REALLY drive this into the ground. Where I was like 50% of the hashing-power myself. ) They said they were working on something... Waiting to see what that is, and how that plays-out. I still have faith. (Thus, my active participation.) Oh, ignore my missing coins... I still have them there, just pulled them again to do a quick short-sale. They will be back. (In a larger quantity.)

I'm having to play around your buy wall since it will just buy about every coin mined so far. I figured if I could pick up another 1k coins I should be doing good with losses if it goes back up.

Well, there is a lot of listings to sell AIR for around $0.1125 per AIR... Never been a better time to buy it!
You know the potential is at-least half that, $0.50 per AIR. Even at the present state.

Hmm, considering you currently hold a huge percentage of the whole (non-premined) AirCoins and the hashrate, it would indeed be a possibility for you to hardfork it...

The problem I see with a hard fork, dev lockout, is that it relieves the original devs of their responsibility to the coin. Why should any of us have to clean up their mess? The real solution is for the devs to fix the issues. A last resort would be to take over the coin. Does anybody want that responsibility? What would that entail? Does it just become anycoin at that point? I know the AIRcoin team has stated that this forum would not be responded to, but maybe they need to break that promise as well.
P.S. Still mining, and buying low. Might as well, in for a penny and all...

Anything interesting happening? I don't think TeamAirCoin are quite out of this yet. I keep seeing 0.2 BTC buys show up 1-3 orders down from the top of the buy list, trying to prop up the price. Volume is low enough now, that less than 0.2 BTC or less can buy up the market price by 50% at pretty much any given time. I see this happening - sell price gets down to 0.00015ish, some "big" (big=0.2btc) buys come up and snatch up all the sell orders, bringing the price back up to 0.00024ish. I am guessing Alexander and his team are refining/testing their trading bots now, where they can do so with far less BTC/AIR to risk, since the trade volume is so low. I will keep my miners on AIR for another week probably, if there is no news here from TeamAirCoin, I will assume this coin to be done. Announcing the "failure" may have been a fallback mechanism for them, to reduce trading volume, where they could slowly build up more BTC reserves and "relaunch" with better results. Or I could be completely full of shit . . . just speculating

I've been a bit of a critic of this coin (in some aspects) but I've started buying some the last day or so. I'm interested in how the plan to implement DGW and X11 is going. Does anyone know?

For all you solo-miners, still looking to get-in early on a decent volume of coins, the boat has not sailed... Though, pools are still the better choice at the moment. We could still use some decent spare miners and hashing-power on the AIR.CarbonShark.com pool. The more steady miners we have, the more value will climb. (Real value, not dump-value.) The faster we get the dumpers gone, the better. Most dumpers/hoppers have left, there is not much dump-value left to consume. (I am prepared to eat most of that still.) P.S. That is not "my pool"... I just mine there.

As stated before by the devs, if you can't afford to hold your coins, then best option is to sell.
