From what I remember.

Mining was really low diff for the beginning.  I was mining with just one card.

I remember that there was nowhere to trade AIRcoin because the dev's wanted "the right exchange" and "only one exchange"

They started trading on Poloniex.

The coin held its value for a few moments before a steady decline to 0 volume and almost no value.

Poloniex delisted the coin.

Haven't opened the wallet for months.

Does the wallet even sync anymore.  I liked the concept of the coin being traded and pegged to keep the price right. I think with them keeping it on one exchange they failed.  Where is the DEV??!?!

I'm not sure if you are being serious or not but the answer is that the developers abandoned the coin.  Whether it was a failed experiment or a clever scam is open for speculation.  I haven't opened my aircoin wallet for quite a while.  I don't know if it works or not.  They were already having wallet issues before completely disappearing, so I'm not optimistic.

You're right that something fishy happened here, though.  I know I have no right to ask this of you, but wait patiently: this could take a while.  It's not every day you plan the proper execution of potentially one of the most useful financial instruments to date.  Especially when the leadership itself was not as incorruptible as it seemed.  Everything will be restored in time however.

You're right that something fishy happened here, though.  I know I have no right to ask this of you, but wait patiently: this could take a while.  It's not every day you plan the proper execution of potentially one of the most useful financial instruments to date.  Especially when the leadership itself was not as incorruptible as it seemed.  Everything will be restored in time however.

lol. my aircoin trade history is still within poloniex.  one of the first lessons i learned through practice actually. at the time i couldn't comprehend why it kept going lower  rookie shit

My hands were tied in that period.  I was literally banned from intervening w/ the coin itself, or anything related to its state. I understand your frustration, I assure you I too shared plenty of that.  I believed in my teammates every bit as much as some of you did. As you know, the problem wasn't the concept, it was the execution.  After that failed (actually was bungled), it was clear there were no means by which to counteract and advance from the failures.  Most of those were internal anyway.  Like I said, that will change soon enough.

I read this while checking repliesto old threads. I still have the whitepaper downloaded somewhere. Your trader which was supposed to autobuy your currency never checked in and the currency crashed. Now, if you are alone in this project and really want to commit to it, i'm willing to buy AIR at 0.001 sat. The total cap was set at 1 billion.

So what will happen to all of our old AirCoin. Are you just going to  create a new token and render the old one useless? Might want to consider switching to POS as with POW people just stopped mining the coin.
