All publically available information

I'm afraid you may have to stalk me ..... join the flock that does

Hey @cinnamon_carter
it would be good if you tell me what coins do you mine (except blake)?
and what are the others coin that you developed?

A new client release is coming by this weekend , i hoped to launch it tonight but am still testing.

Details will be available.

Thanks to all for continued support.

It will be a mandatory update for anyone running the client with the launch.

Non mandatory if you run the updated one available now.

The p2p ports had to be changed and I have been running the network on both.

Support for the original network will be cutoff when I release this update.

Again , if you are running the current version available here or at cryptocointalk you are not going to be cutoff.

Even the old client may still connect or work but I will not be providing support for that port once this update is released.

Photon is just getting started , This is my final coin.

Magnum opus if you will.

Big plans for continued support, I am working (slowly) on merged mining Photon with Blake Coin and Bluedragon747 and others are also independently working on it also.   Anyone who wants to lend support let me know. If not , one of us is going to solve the issues soon and with merged mining will come strength and the ability to mine 2 (or possibly more in the future) coins at the same time,  no switching, same time !!

This is the future of alternative cryptocurrency as I (and a few others see it)

Development continues.

I heard of this coin several months ago and remember it using scrypt 1024 pow/pos

I guess it was relaunched using the blake 256 algorithm.

I would need to examine the source code, magic numbers ect. but based on a quick read I think it would be impossible to merge mine with Photon or Blake Coin since the block times are much shorter.
I am actually researching exactly how merged mining works for sha coins (under the hood) this weekend.
Once I (or someone) solves getting merged mining to work with Photon and Blake Coin
it will be announced.

I have 'clones' of Blake Coin and Photon built for testing purposes only.
When I can get it to work on a test machine, further testing will need to be done on the real networks.
I have no timetable for when I can promise this will be ready.
I develop & code in my spare time.
If anyone has any contributions please get in touch.

Atomic recently removed PHO because nobody traded it. Are you going to put this coin on another exchange ?

Photon is not going anywhere, I assure you of that.

I have the resources, skill and experience to keep a coin running.

Just because you cannot 'exchange' it right now don't hit the panic button.

I have been approached and discussed adding Photon to other exchanges but for now will hold off.

The project is young still.

Many things are in the works.

I am in no real rush or hurry, I like to do things the right way and fairly.

Yes, I actually run an honest coin.

Yes Atomic is actually an honest exchange.

There are no fake buy orders or 'pumps'

Keep mining , I am.

There will be markets again , lots of them,  have patience.

If your only goal is to mine a coin (any coin) and convert it to bitcoin Photon is not a good choice.

The main post has been updated with the lastest win qt wallet

If you were running the original Photon client (from launch) you must upgrade or you will be cut off the network.

If you are running the second client (which changed the p2p port) this is an optional but recommended upgrade.

Checkpoints were added.

I am taking a few days off of Photon development but will always be lurking in the shadows and on twitter.

So many numbers stirring round in my head after getting merged mining to work on testnet of Namecoin and Bitcoin.

Now........ to find a way to get it working with Blake Coin and Photon.......

I think a mistake was made on the post edit, i'm not seeing the windows qt wallet in the first post at all.

edit: oh, you meant the cryptocointalk thread, not this.

Quite alive , BlueDragon747 has a pool working for Photon, thanks for the offer though.

The blake 256 algo has proven difficult for setting up pools , p2pool will not work, our goal is to merge mine the coins......

I've already have a blake pool running, so a photon pool would be set up in a matter of minutes.

I wonder why these Blakecoin(s) doesn't get the attention they deserve.. Maybe too early ?
