Based on my own observation ETH became more popular nowadays because of the continueously decreasing of the bitcoin so they panic sell bitcoin in order to buy another coins like ETH etc. ETH became more popular because also of the little pump up that have been made by the eth. Keep the pump up EtH and you will survive.
