Basically I wouldn't rate any ICO based on ratings from online sites, its an open secret that most of those rating sites do lobby with ICOs to help in high rating them while being paid for such services, honestly there are many highly rated ICOs which later turned scammed, however choosing the right ICO involves through scrutiny using ICO ratings, whitepapers, team of experts, country of origin, etc.

I don't believe it 100% and only use it as an additional reference, because they are not an independent institution and still receive sponsors

I really do not believe it, but apart from looking at the rating I do not know how to evaluate the project well or bad, so I also rely on that to test the project.

I usually trust these sites. This makes it easier to find interesting projects. But then be sure to check all the information. I study the team, read white paper and draw my own conclusions.

They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?

Well i believe that there is some thing done behind of our back in this kind of businesses, and i will not surprised if later the truth is revealed. I myself really like to trust my analyze and my instinct about ICO, and would put these 2 in top of choosing any ICO. Being in the top list of a famous website is the next thing i consider. Well you know, even though they made a deal like that behind our back, it sure make a hype for the ICO so it can gather the money quickly and make the ICO succesful. You just need to make sure that ICO is not a scam.

It depends of the website : Icobench is the best, but a good rate is, unfortunately, not a proof of sucess. But it's some good indications of the team, the main line of project and the coin. Care of other website, some are good too, but care Smiley !

Don't waste your time to find out good ICO project on these ICO rating sites Smiley. IMO, I think if an ICO project is really good so it no need to be promoted on these websites but it still can reach to hardcap very easily because of its real quality Smiley. ICO rating sites is for new investors without having any knowledge about investing in ICO only.

I recommend to check ICODrops, they review ICOs honestly and doesn't accept icos that pays for the 5 stars reviews.

I'm actually using them as a confirmation of my own research because if I would put my trust only in the writing which are often just subjective, then I will eventually lose my money that I have earned hard.

The ICO scam has disrupted the entire market, investors lost confidence and money, and many rating websites are not authoritative. Simply relying on some news to rank the ICO project has formed a bad guide for investors.
ICO's rating agencies need to bear a lot of responsibilities, such as the authenticity of the project, the verification of funds, and many other issues. If possible, such a website will be more popular, and investors can browse more professional analysis on the website.safer projects, this is what we are looking forward to!

The rating should be paid attention only at the very end before investing. In many cases, the ratings there can be purchased and consequently the estimate will be incorrect. Study white paper, command and remember that it is a huge risk

So I think it simplifies the task of finding new projects, but after all, you need to re-read the white paper!

I dont trust them because the project can buy the ratings from them, will rather choose or invest in a project that has working products before conducting ico.

As most of us knows airdropers and bounty hunters are giving fake points for the rating sites. Because project are rewarded people who gives good stakes to the project. Crypto world needs to find another way for rating and voting.

Since i know these pages, i have no confidence in them and what i can read here, my opinion is also confirmed. I will still inform me there about new icos, but no longer pay attention to the rating.

I don't know, the whole system seems kind of shady, after all, an ICO could pay the manager of the website, and the whole thing could turn into a promotion for the ICO that paid, it is definitely possible.

On my opinion, icobench is the best rating because that's not a platform rating icos, but experts. It's more decentralized then some projects like icobazaar or icorating

It's possible and there was so many people have created a lot of articles regarding it and then they are accusing the site like ico bench has been received a lot of scam ico promotion and for me it looks possible consider ico bench managed by the greedy person. Ico bench is one of the bad ico review site.

Unfortunately, you can not fully trust the ratings on the site. They work and get paid for it . Therefore, we can assume that the rating is good business

do your own research. Beside checking these websites you must check ICO completely especially whitepaper and look at their team and background. Its very important. they should promote on conferences their project. dont just check those ratings when investing
