Qubit is for CPU's

No its not, Qubit GPU mining is 10x faster than Qubit CPU mining (high-end i7 processors)

I think there is some space for optimization of CPU miner - so new i5/7 processors would hash faster. Just we need a person, who can make those optimizations. Some algos can be optimized 2x-3x compared to the speed of simple sse2 miner, just by adding sse4 and avx/avx2 instructions...

You can talk whith Girino. He loves to make miners get more performance.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=143492

See you around!!

Yes, if someone could contact him and explain what we need Smiley

Also, is Myriad-Qubit algo is the same algo QubitCoin uses? If so, there is an optimized AES and AVX version of qubit cpu miner by elmad: https://github.com/elmad/QubitCoin-cpuminer-v.1.2-avx-aes
Can't check if it will work - I don't have at the moment cpu that supports that instruction sets...

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone could update me on the current status of the http://www.myriadcoin.org website?  I understand that the owner of the site "dropped off the radar" and hence the site has not been updated for a while (ie: pointing at old wallet versions, not listing all merchants / exchanges).

Is this being resolved?  Is it possible to resolve?  I love this coin and have great hopes for its future, but it is a bit crappy if the main website is out of control and not being updated Sad

I realise everyone is being pointed at the http://myriad.theblockexplorer.com site and that this site is up to date (thanks foodies), but like it or not, most people who hear about this coin on a podcast or the like are going to probably head to the old site first... and there is nothing on the old site saying that it is out of date!

What are people's thoughts on this?

Cheers,
Dan

Cool. Then maybe someone could test elmad's cpu miner on i5/i7 and tell if there is some difference comparing with simple cpu miner?

Edit: also keep in mind that:
Quote
The miner can take advantage of AVX, AVX2 and XOP instructions,
but only if both the CPU and the operating system support them.
          * Linux supports AVX starting from kernel version 2.6.30.
          * FreeBSD supports AVX starting with 9.1-RELEASE.
          * Mac OS X added AVX support in the 10.6.8 update.
          * Windows supports AVX starting from Windows 7 SP1 and
            Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.

So no avx support on WinXP and Vista...

MAMMMP Revelead + Latest Goals, Achievements, and Future Projects

Paper 1: Myriad's Latest Goals, Achievements, and Future Projects

Paper 2: MAMMMP

Great, we're clear now, on the intentions and more or less on the stages that follow.

Myriad's team has been outstanding in providing a strong plan for the coin and delivering on that plan, my thanks to you all.

Please let us now as soon as MAMMMP can be used/tested - I will simply have all my hashing power there (ASIC scrypt and GPUs) and stop having those "interruptions" when I use them to mine other coins Grin

Also, let us know when we can help alpha/beta test the all new encompassing wallet - the specs you purpose will make it a strong tool for this coin's growth and adoption (there are a few wallets out there that already do some of that stuff, but none in such a complete way)

And lastly (I know you guys don't like it much that I and others insist), please consider analyzing thoroughly the X11 combo algo and further analyze the possibility of using it on Myriad's blockchain - this would allow keeping groestl, skein and qubit (all part of X11 combo) and open the possibility of introducing a new algo. I truly believe that down the line myriad will need to refresh it self, so now is the time to investigate and analyze the viable possibilities.

Again, thanks.

Lots of coins got hit on the games/faucet and i've shut down the whole thing until i can resolve the security exploit smartypants found.

Around 0.5 BTC where stolen, not a big loss... but whatever...

X11 is moot man. Check out myriadcoin-Groestl it destroys it. Please take the time to load a miner or stfu. Smiley I do not mean this rude... this is simple facts.

Yeah, stop all this whining for X11.

Congratulations for the announcement Dev, it all looks extremely promising to say the least!

However: the next most important thing on the current list should be a proper website since that will be the first stop for most people who do not know about MYR

YES: website!! Website and one more time: we need a Website !

This great coin Myriad is TOO much centered around miners and their "geek" projects...... but a really good coin needs investors, PR and Merchants as well. When  they search Google and cannot find it or arrive at amateur (sorry to say it) Myriad websites.... they will pass on to other coins instead.

Gentlemen. Fear not. Our website had to be put on hold because the guy creating it suddenly got offered a new job in real life. We've gotten back in touch with him now that his life has settled back down and he's transferring all the website access, hosting, etc. to a couple other guys stepping up and offering to take care of it.

Myriad's in good hands. Website is up within a week or I'm putting out a hit on materialdef Smiley

Myriadcoin - the first multi-PoW blockchain! (Mine with SHA256 [ASICs], Scrypt [GPU/ASICs], Skein [GPUs], Groestl [GPUs], OR Qubit [CPUs/GPUs]).
