Anyway, you say market is boring when sideways .FYI, that's the most profitable phase you can possibly make money in as scalping gets really easy and obvious so you make small but constant money multiply times a day .
Trading when market is trending with "small stop-loss" is the kind all whales are looking for and therefore they keep controlling the market.

That's quite true. An expert trader can make money in any trend in the market whether it is bullish or bearish. A good strategy can earn you good profits.
I am a long term holder and don't trade short or day trade at all but I think the I am missing on the short gains by just holding the amount. I am really considering to do short/day trade now but waiting for a good entry point. Also, a sideway trend is a good opportunity for a day trader to make money and hence any trend can make us good gains if done the right way.

Actually you can though it can be quite difficult and would require a lot more risk if you're up for it. The market is volatile so that means that even in a red market, there's still movement. And people stil can make profit, ask margin traders.

I can really make money from that since I can Short any coin that could be dropping down and also I can buy them when everything goes to dip.

You can make your money when the market is down because everytime that market is down that is really the time that you can buy more coin and sometimes the coin will continue down but after that it's price will increase and it can give you profit.

The easiest way to make money in a bear market is to buy the dip. Sooner or later there will be a recovery, just like the one in April or this recent one and when it happens you will be able to either sell with a profit. These recoveries always happen, the only thing that isn't certain here is the timeframe. It can take just a week, but it may also take 3 months before you see it. There's too much manipulation going on for day trading to be profitable. Too many bull traps and too many whales moving walls around for anyone to be able to read anything on the 3-5 min charts.
