I think whether good or bad depends on crypto currency users, the good users are the ones that accept pump or dump, loss and profits.
But the bad are the enforcers of fraud,that ensure to do fake ico and fool people totally.

Yes, we'll probably see a lot of coins / tokens die if the bear market continues for much longer. If you compare the CMC snapshots from a few years ago with the one from today, we already see how different they look. A lot of coins disappeared from the top 100. The question is which projects will have a future? I am sure BTC will still be around, ETH aswell.
