Wow, I thought I was the only one. Can't sync. Stops at 506. I thought it was because I encrypted my wallet.

Mine is at 506 but indicates it is synced.  Says the last block was generated 21 minutes ago.

I am thinking it has something to do with the config file that was supposed to be edited as per instructions.

I cannot find this config file, It does not appear under appdata.

you have to create it as a text file and add the nodes... but that's not the problem, I did that and mine isn't synced.  My malwarebytes is also blocking a lot of outgoing IPs....

My wallet is also not syncing

For my wallet I only have the original IP address for 1 node and it synced, though it took a bit to do so.  Right now it reads
Up To Date
Downloaded 506 blocks of transaction history.
Last received block was generated 44 minutes ago.

similar here.. i have more connect and nodes, but wallet was green @ 506 and running all night. restarted now and out of sync @ 506.

but now it stopped
leaving the difficulty at 5.83
so we'll have to wait a long time before the current, probably very low hash power gets another block

so if anybody has a strong rig and pump out some hashes until there's a new block, he could save the day

i'm sure about everything i wrote, i'm not sure that it's the actual problem
but i'm not seeing any new blocks either accepted or rejected, no splits in the blockchain...
so i don't have another guess

Would the client still say out of sync if we are just waiting for another block? Surely everyone would be sync in that case.
