Tell me who will stop someone for making a bot for mass registration and taking a lot of coins for himself?

You had to manually enter 2 layers of captcha, to register for a token, then wait 1 hours to redeem.  The token was generated 1 per IP per hour.

The site had over 55k hits in 2 days 22k+ unique.  The registration process was secure enough and since it took only 2 days to reach max address... I doubt anyone had time to invest in making a bot.

Just so you know... this is over now we are almost finished distributing all the coins

I know how bots works, captcha is not a problem, there are companies mostly from china who solves captcha for you in real time for small fee, different IP isn't a problem either, there are lots of proxy servers online.

How can you name your coin fair when your coins are distributed only to members of forum (most of coins taken by bots and people with changing ip). It's like premine bribe for pushing coin through.

I don't have a mining rig although I planned to buy but I'm short, then there's my friend told me to wait for this coin to launch so I am able to get coins without mining. I was able to get tokens because of my friend and then I joined this forum and then there you are telling wrong error mistakes lol.

Do you realize that changing IP doesn't give you anything in this case? Only waiting 1 hour till next token does. Or if you have 2 or more internet connections. But not changing ip... people..

Guys,

We haven't started trading yet as the Dev's asked not to trade until all coins have been distributed. We aren't even accepting coins from people at the moment. The price was set based on some preliminary interest we received from buyers and sellers, but it will readjust the moment trading is live. We will use escrow whenever it is requested. Everyone should be patient and helping to spread the word about Faircoins and upvoting it on the exchanges right now.

FaircoinExchange.com
I have a question - how exactly did these buyers and sellers decide to approach you of all people on Earth when they thought of trading Faircoins? After all, your account is two days and a half old and the post announcing your site was made 50 minutes after registration.
I am just wondering, nothing more, but if you have a valid answer to this question, I think your legitimacy will not be questioned anymore.

We are part of a private altcoin group of 50 people and once we started pushing the coin people in the group who had missed out were asking to buy from us. We got some pre-orders and that is when we realized the potential for this coin and decided to set up the exchange service.

I've tried to contact http://www.faircoinexchange.com/ to sell or buy some Faircoin but no reply at all. Don't understand what they are trying to do.

I think they said they were waiting until distribution was done to start trading. Not sure if they are legit or not yet.

We have gotten too many requests and have already said on this thread to please be patient until trading starts at which point we will respond to everyone. We are waiting for distribution to end and the network to be stable. Also it doesn't help that while everyone here is trying to dump their coins we are trying to build buy support.

Guys, we have a problem.

After sending out to about 35k, our wallet file became corrupted.
we're trying to recover the keys, but it's both encrypted and corrupted and at this point we have no idea how to recover them, if they are even there
(the keys might not even be there, if the client only flushed a part of the file)
If anybody can help out with that, please do so.

As of right now, the first ~35k addresses (we'll check the exact number soon) have been sent to,
and we can't access the remaining coins
so, this is bacially the same as having distributed to only 35k addresses instead of 50k
and the coin is still Fair, just not the exact way we intended.

We're happy to move forward if we have your support, trying to push it into exchanges, gambling sites, stores etc.
if not, we'll scrap the project and try again with lessons learned.

we also have the option of creating another coin and using the faircoin addresses database to distribute the new coin

what do you say?

You want to tell me that all the votes have been deleted? Or when the payouts are completed, we are going to resume from the votes the coin had?

You are kidding me!
The left coins have been stolen or lost?

If stolen, yes, re-creat another coin.   If lost, just let it go.

I already received all my faircoins but I vote to restart from zero if the file cannot be recovered. It was quite funny  and this time there could be even more people and distribution. I cannot really complain for something "free"  Wink

Yeah me too, but he meant dev team cannot distribute the coins anymore since wallet is corrupted now, 35k addresses distributed. Remaining coins ~15000000 of it were with the corrupted wallet. I hope the dev team already had their coins for bounties moved to different wallet though. Total coins right now? ~35Mil instead of 50Mil?
