Open your wallet, go to console and type: getinfo

check the first 3 lines are

"protocolversion" : 80201,
"walletversion" : 60000,

if not, backup and update your wallet

Close wallet

Replace nodes in faircoin.conf with these ones:

That's the version i had until 30 min ago, was working fine then i realized there was a new one and i updated it (http://fair-coin.info/#download), it sync'ed right away, no problems!

have you tried to do this?

backup wallet.dat
remove all files except wallet.dat and faircoin.conf in FairCoin directory from %appdata% (windows) or ~/.FairCoin (linux)
REPEAT: DO NOT DELETE wallet.dat and faircoin.conf!

replace nodes as above on faircoin.conf

Run wallet, this will download the entire blockchain...it will take a while

Sweet this kinda worked - ty!  It has synced but still says out of sync - will let it run for the night and see if it fixes it.

Sort of worrying the http://fac.blockx.info/get/chain/FairCoin?hi=3521&count=8 farcoin block explorer isn't showing blocks newer than 3 and a half hours for me....

Edit: Looking at the difficulty it looks like someone has spiked the shit out of the diff and so we aren't finding more blocks because of that
