Best Alt coin to invest in 2014

Just had the most amazing chat with the Firecoin community yesterday. The dev was throwing Fire around the chatroom like doge! Amazing event, hope to attend such events in the future. I went into the chat room only because i had a wallet sync problem, but came out with 1 Firecoin in the giveaway. The wallet sync problem was fixed in 5 minutes by one of the very helpful community members, instead of the Dev. I do believe that if the community grows and participates like we did yesterday, this will be one of the crypto-currencies to look out for as well.

I wanted to pickup some cheap Fire to buy some entries into their contest for .1 BTC, but the price of Fire rose to 19K sats per coin. 

19K sats per coin?  Wow, there's one alt bucking the trend right now.  As BTC goes lower we should see more alts getting slammed.

Buy now while they're super cheap.

Well, on about 2 months when IXC finishes mining we will all find out just what would happen to Bitcoin at its end of life.  That could be a huge deal for IXC or maybe it will just die.  Big risk = Big Reward.

Will it keep PoW even when mining is over? If so, that will be very dangerous for the holders.

There are some rumors that big news are in store for Zetacoin. I don't know if that's true, possibly it's just vapor. But if it isn't, Zetacoin's price has been plummeting recently and it's at a 4months low right now, so it might be a good time to invest if you choose to believe that the rumors are true.

Pandacoin (PND)'s developpers have also said that big news where coming, and on a specific date; August 30th.

There was a small pump yesterday, probably related to that.

lol agreed, most of these altcoins doesn't last for a year. Just hyped for some months and then it start dying

And after some thought, I believe that the #1 altcoin killer is a premature pump. It's like putting a toddler on a bike without safety wheels. All you get is a big dump later, and a whole bunch of angry bagholders along with a reputation as a pump-and-dump scamcoin. It's impossible to evangelize once you've got that killer blotch on your coin. 

That's why I and the rest of the team are taking it slow and careful with NFD.

The answer is simple - it's Bytecoin (BCN) which is the best coin to invest in.
I'd add that today is the best time to buy some coins than to mine it.
BCN is a CryptoNote based coin with professional developer team who have written an immense amount of code from scratch and have implemented a lot of things to make coin friendly to miner cause they really do care about their users!
