As i can see I'm not the only one trying to swap my Zeit for Zeo coins. I did the same, trying to write in person but got the same message (disabled message reception from newbies). Sure I can get in touch with you guys through slack but who will invite me? I'm not trying to act like a b**** but I've been loyal to Zeit from beginning (you can check my last post) and all I want to do is exchange Zeit for Zeo. So, if someone can help me with that I would appriciate it. Thank you.

I think there is misunderstanding here, AFAIK there was no swap but airdrop for Zeitcoin users which already ended.

Zeitcoin is still running without issues.

I think zeitcoin needs to create a fork with new blockchain with excluded addresses that weren't participating in any transaction for a year or longer, but other addresses that moved within a year would be accessible on a new chain. That is only an idea for now.

What about the holders of Zeitcoin who was not staking for the last year? I have been a holder since the start of this project but stopped staking in 2019, but have never dumped a single Zeitcoin.

Is zeitcoin dead? The explorer indicates that the last block was found 79 days ago. Is that right? There’s no such thing as a functioning exchange, is there?  Huh

Nothing about them. They will be given a boot. They are not a pillar of this community thus shall be disregarded. Telling to get the heck out to holders has been a rule number one in any corporate ethics as it allows for filtering out weak hands while allowing entry for a smarter investor. The era of free drops and passive income is coming to a curb.

ZEIT coin is dead. Me personally I could not stand laggy wallet for ZEIT coin that was not able to process transactions as I had too many of coins. It was freezing and unable to operate. So I sent coins to cryptsy and this exchange also died. SO RIP to ZEIT forget about that and forget about Cryptsy as well. Let it be good lesson how crypto works for the others.

Any IPs online? I'd like to set up a new explorer for Zeitcoin on Chainz.
First, to provide some historical context and to see if a chain can still be reactivated after such a long time.  Grin

I think this is the first time someone is attempting to revive a dead coin. Who'd like to join? Back then, I invested a lot of time into the development of Zeitcoin. Unfortunately, I lost all my Zeitcoin at the time (Lousy backup strategy), but I'd be willing to invest again.

Maybe I'll update the wallet again. It became quite sluggish towards the end.

PS: This is a retro or craft project. It's not about profits. Simply to see if an old chain can be successfully reactivated. Simply an interesting project.
What do you think?

Cheers, Ray

That will be nice to try out something innovative like this one. Never heard of such revival in the past. Even though I wasn't part of the project at the first instance, I would patiently wait to share in the experience of this second wave from your craftiness. It's usually good to try out something like this and I applaud you for giving it a thought. I wish you a successful adventure and a positive result, such success would certainly be for all.

Is this really going to happen? Would be awesome.... if you lost your coins maybe we could take a snapshot and distribute a new coin to holders so you also get yours back

Zeitcoin 2.0.2.6 GII (Gauntlet 2) is finished for Mac M1 (ARM64). I'll be releasing the Windows version very soon. We now need IP addresses to connect with each other (and maybe snapshots for testing). By the way, running the old version won't cause any problems.

FYI: We just want to test if the network can be revived. No one benefits or loses from this. It's simply an experiment. I have no idea if it will work. It would be a fun experiment. A Coin-Retro-Fitting Project.  Thanks.  Wink

Cheers,
Ray

PS:
If you're worried it's a fake or something, I'll be updating the original repository on GitHub. You can compile it yourself. https://github.com/zeitcoin/zeitcoin

It will take another week or two, though. A lot of changes were made for the M1 version. We need to see if everything works. Since the project is officially dead, we have nothing to lose.
