I really don't want to turn these into an economics class but the both definition of what investments are clearly should settle the argument of whether BTC is truly an investment or not.

Yes, as of this time when bitcoin is not yet used for all the transactions as what the fiat does, bitcoin is still better for investment. But as the time when it will be used for all transactions, then it will be as usable as the fiat.

it's true that investment is buying goods now and allowing for some time while waiting for the price of the item to rise until we get big results, and I think bitcoin is also a real investment place

Not many would disagree that bitcoin is an investment but it still carries its designed function as a means of payment.

It really does come down to supply and demand,
something which plays right into bitcoin status of limited supply and increasing demand.

Yes it is more on investment than a currency in this time. Althrough some big companies accept it as a payment but not already implemented all over the world. But i think it will happen that we used it in our daily transaction soon, by the right time.

Actually it is really a investment, since the value of bitcoin is really high and volatile. Just so happened that it can be trade to any goods or products online so some came up to the term currency, aside bitcoin can be converted into fiat so others think that bitcoin is also a kind of currency. Bitcoin slightly falls on currency category because of value but the truth is the bitcoin as a whole is a investment, a speculative investment,

To be honest, if you ask me about investments, as long as I have placed my own money to it and envisioning it to gain value in the future, then that's a good enough investment for me. I casually invest in bitcoins and I don't really invest most of my money on it but I'm glad it has grown already.

Unfortunally for the way it is right now you are right my friend. Even if it'd be so good to make other thing such as paying with small fees in LN, it still is seen as an investment for future and that's pretty is what you can do right now. In Italy where I live, you can buy a house , but you have to find a seller who understnad what you mean by that. I hope we'll see something coming ahead us because it's a far west here without regolation as it always has been. Not so different from Casino.

well, so many people say that bitcoin is not an investment, but, most investors don't care about it, and still makes bitcoin an investment tool. well, they often use it to hold it, or to invest in ICO. like it or not, that is reality.

yes you are right I really agree with you, this bitcoin seems more suitable if used for investment because bitcoin has a very limited price so surely the price will be very expensive and can provide benefits for those who have bitcoin.

yes some people do not insist that bitcoin is not an investment, but some others support bitcoin is investment. I myself insist that bitcoin is an investment because we can store it for a long time and can use it whenever we need

Well, I'm gonna have to agree with this. Though Bitcoin was originally created as a form of payment, it has become a form of asset due to its supply and demand. With a limited supply, Bitcoin's value has no other way to go but up due to the increasing demand. And so BTC's image as an investment has overshadowed its true purpose as a currency.

Absolutely I agree. Now seeing bitcoin as a shopping tool does nothing for both sides. Those who have suffered in an environment with such a price will surely be. Therefore, I think it is more appropriate to use it as an investment tool.
