in my opinion no, not Ethereum who will overtake Bitcoin but I think Ripple will overtake Bitcoin and Ethereum.

At this moment, it is way impossible for ethereum to overtakr Bitcoin especially in terms of market value because the gap is way big. Both are indeed good cryptos and are having long run increase but it is just that btc and ethereum are having different rates of increase in the market. And it gives us the assumption that ethereum will remain next to bitcoin. And if it would be possible for tables to be turned, it won't be this year. |

ETH falls in price and it has shown its full dependence on the price of bitcoin. therefore, I do not think that ETH will ever be able to surpass bitcoin.

I agree, Eth cannot surpass bitcoin from the start bitcoin has still top in the market even price went down. Users claims that eth can surpass btc but until the top coin and more users is on btc. So I am not thinking Eth can overtake btc in the future. |

I think it can be possible since ethereum's development is faster than bitcoin. However, we should keep in mind that bitcoin had brought a lot of fortune to a lot of people and people already trust bitcoin. So, it may take some time for ethereum to be on top. |

Bitcoin is a store of value and Ethereum is currency. Comparing the 2 is like comparing a bar of gold and a US Dollar. Its OK to keep your wealth in gold but it is not much good to buy a cup of coffee.

I think that at some point someone will replace bitcoin, maybe it is not ETH, but it is inevitable that it will happen, I think that ETH is part of the old generation of coins, even though it works, can still be improved and so I think that in about 3 to 5 years, the coins we have in the tops now, will not be the ones we will have on that date, everything moves foward and cryptos will not be the exception.

no doubt that ETH is good coin with great team and great project but in my opinion i Don't think eth can beat btc.
ERC-20 is main reason of eth growth but now's a day most of successful ICOs launching own block chain. and other platform are available like neo who give you same service like eth.

I think it only be a second best crypto next to Bitcoin, also I think no one can overtake Bitcoin because beside of being first created cryptocurrency it also a great and top to all. So even Ethereum is have potential it cannot overtake Bitcoin maybe it become have most higher value to all altcoin but not in Bitcoin. And even Bitcoin is experiencing a falling price it is still best to all and still profitable. |
