About Execoin

Execoin is a new cryptocurrency featuring progressive ASIC and multi-pool resistance as a major difference compared to other coins. These innovations make Execoin stable, rare and security-oriented coin even with the further development of newer generation of ASIC miners designed for scrypt algorithm. It is obvious that custom mining hardware (ASIC miners) is a major concern for decentralized structure of any cryptocoin network and for stability of coin market value. Scrypt algorithm has been implemented in Litecoin to make use of first ASICs financially unfeasible by utilizing larger amounts of memory for hash computation and it worked fine for some time. However now we're expecting newer generations of ASICs specially designed for scrypt algorithm and these miners can severely corrupt distributed structure of network and negatively impact market value of scrypt-based currencies.

Execoin represents a new generation of crypto currencies that put independence from ASIC miners as a priority. Its progressive-N algorithm increases memory usage with time in a progressive manner to be ahead of newer ASIC models in the future. Multipools also negatively impact both security of the network and coins' market value by concentrating mining power and dumping large amounts of coins to the exchanges. Custom miner software that already has been created for Execoin cannot be used in multipools and, on the other hand, standard mining software suitable for multipool use cannot be utilized to mine Execoin.

What will happen when new ASICs will be available for mining?

Here is a very possible scenario for cryptocoin market for the nearest future and it clearly explains why new generation of coins like Execoin is highly demanded now and will be most demanded in the future and its value will raise. When scrypt-specific ASICs will be out to the real world they will quickly make GPU mining useless like it's already been done with Bitcoin. Huge computation power of existent GPU mining rigs will start looking for alternatives like it's already happened in the past and made Litecoin and other scrypt-based coins very popular. And this alternative is Execoin and newer coins with ASIC-proof algorithms as an evolution of current scrypt-based coins. Market value of Execoin will boost greatly with announcing of newer ASIC miners and will keep going up with GPU miners switching to alternative currencies after making them non-profitable to mine regular scrypt coins. Execoin's algorithm ensures stability and decentralization of the network even with the development of more and more powerful and sophisticated ASIC hardware and guarantees stable value of this coin on the market.

Features

  • Progressive ASIC resistance that guarantees withstanding to newer generations of ASICs designed for scrypt algorithm
  • Embedded multi-pool resistance due to different algorithm
  • DNS node seeder client functionality integrated into wallet to ensure stable connection - no need to enter nodes manually
  • 45 seconds average block time guarantees fast confirmation of transactions and make Execoin the fastest ASIC-resistant coin
  • No premine at all

Technical Details

  • Algorithm: Scrypt-Progressive-N with optimized schedule (scientific name: scrypt Salsa20/8(N, 1, 1), PBKDF2(SHA2))
  • Symbol: EXE
  • Max Coins: 84 million
  • Block time: 45 seconds
  • Subsidy: halves every 840,000 blocks (~437 days)
  • Difficulty Re-Target Time: Every 1920 blocks (~24 hours)
  • Block Rewards: 50 coins per block
  • Premine: Absolutely no premine!

N and its corresponding N-Factor are parameters of scrypt algorithm that determine the amount of memory required for hashing functions. Original scrypt algorithm (scrypt Salsa20/8(1024, 1, 1), PBKDF2(SHA2)) uses constant N (1024) and it can withstand older ASIC miners, but with a development of new custom ASICs for original scrypt algorithm, N-factor should be increased with time to resist more powerful and specialized computing hardware. Execoin's Scrypt-Progressive-N algorithm provides this N-factor progressive increase to ensure that any possible future ASICs development will not impact security and stability of the network and Execoin will stay rare, difficult to mine currency with a stable market value in the longer run.

See Execoin Scrypt-Progressive-N schedule of N-factor increases:

Mining Execoin

Execoin cannot be mined with standard CGminer so please download custom version of CGminer/CUDAminer designed for execoin algorithm.

For AMD GPU mining:

Windows version

Please use --nscrypt parameter to mine!

Please note that Progressive-N algorithm may need different GPU settings! Also, due to more intensive memory usage your hashrate will be around 50% of the hashrate you would get mining regular scrypt currency.

For Nvidia GPU mining:

Windows 32/64bit
Mac OS X Mavericks
Mac OS X Lion/Mountain Lion
source

Please note that Progressive-N algorithm may need different GPU settings! Also, due to more intensive memory usage your hashrate will be around 50% of the hashrate you would get mining regular scrypt currency.

Solo mining with a wallet:

 Create execoin.conf file in your profile folder with the following contents:

 daemon=1
 server=1
 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
 rpcuser=user
 rpcpassword=password

 Point your miner to http://127.0.0.1:9988
 For example, for CUDAMiner you will want to use the following string: cudaminer --algo=scrypt:2048 -o http://127.0.0.1:9988 -u user -p password

CPU mining with a wallet (slow):

Choose "Help" in your Execoin wallet, select "Debug" window, select "Console", type “setgenerate true ”, type "getmininginfo" to see hashrate.
As an alternative, you can also put gen=1 in execoin.conf (but you will need to create one in execoin folder of your profile).

Wallet

Please download from our website www.execoin.net
Bitcointalk does not allow to post any links to files containing the word 'exe' :-)

Nodes? Unlikely that you will need any of them, since we implemented multiple DNS seeders in the network, so your client should connect to the Execoin network
automatically without delays. But here are some of the nodes just in case.

Pools

exe.coinsprofit.com (NEW!)
exe.ecurie.io (NEW!)
exe.poolz.net (NEW!)
pool.execoin.net
exe.coinpool.cc

Pools owners please send request to pools@execoin.net to be included to the pool's list!

UPDATE: Dear miners, since Bitcointalk has some limitations for the number of messages and/or doesn't allow to post them frequently we cannot reply to every post! :-( We're
here and keep working hard to make Execoin strong, popular and stable currency in a longer run! Thank you.

Yours, developers team

It will take months for that to happen. And of course, it will happen if devs are working hard and the community is helping. The coin is pretty easy to mine atm and there will be a lot of dumpers.

This is the only interesting new coin to arrive for quite some time. Looks like a slight improvement over Vert, which also didn't get much attention until the price exploded.

with mem 1500 and clock 1100, it's still about 360, that oc don't give me much

but he have a 290, he should get 450kh/s..

I underclocked Voltage, GPU clock and Mem clock. If you know settings to get 450 Kh/s let me know, I will consider it.

Please notice, that I am mining at -I 17. Anyway... 450 kH/s is not possible in a healthy way. I tried -I 20 and get 400 kH/s but then my PC is lagging as hell and I can't work with it. -I 17 is the maximum for me.
