Am I correct in saying around 5 BILLION SpartanCoins are now mined?

Sound right to me..

Premine:
Blocks 0 - 1000 @ 300K = 0.3B

Bonus reward blocks:
Blocks 1000 - 7500 @ 300K = 1.95B
Blocks 7500 - 15000 @ 200K = 1.5B
Blocks 15000 - 22500 @ 100K = 0.75B
Blocks 22500 - 30000 @ 50K = 0.375B

Regular blocks:
Blocks 30000 - 32986 @ 150K = 0.447B

So that's 5.322 billion coins out there right now, out of 100B.. Makes my stash seem piffling in comparison, and makes me wonder where all these coins are hiding out there Wink

Must be getting serious now!... Just went to vote on Mintpal and had this message pop up:
Error!
You must have a larger trade history in order to vote.

Up until now I was voting with just one trade done.

I'm a little worried about the coin cap. A lot of coins that started out with large caps are realizing it's a problem and changing the cap now to try to course-correct. Might be something to consider for Spartan - too many coins = massive influx of dollars required every day to sustain price level (let alone increase it.)

We are working on PoS and hope to have it ready for testing today. and yes we are still looking at halving the coin cap before we release the PoS.

Awesome news, glad to hear it! It will help this coin a lot if you do this early. Too many coins realized too late, and by then the coins already mined were too high so capping had a negligible effect. But Spartan is still young!

I think mintpal is cracking down. They got greedy when they doubled the cost of voting couple weeks ago. Top spot was a range of 5-10k USD. Not necessary to be that expensive. So people empowered community to vote and they made less money. So instead of making money off votes they make money off of trade fees to vote.

Looks like you only get one vote per hour as well :-/

In all fairness, they've reduced it to one vote per hour, but seem to have reduced the counted votes by five fold as well..
Previously WATER was well over 110K and is now at 21,565.. And Spartan is now at 8,358 where as I recall us being at 40K (something) this morning..
All looks like nothing has really changed expect for paid votes.. 0.001 BTC buying one vote instead of the recent 0.0002, prior to that 0.0001..

Keep voting.. We'll get there, and I'm astounded at how quickly we have got this high.. We will get onto MP, that's for sure Smiley

Its bloody agonizing voting on Mintpal now, one click per hour, everything is going to look like its moving so much slower.

I was happy to be in the Coin from the beginning and it may not be the fly by night flashy coin like other ones but this is a keeper and my retirement plan with long term goals. This will be more than just a coin. Smiley

Totally agree.  Grin.  As long as the Dev's and community plug away every day, which they are, everything will fall into place. One step at a time with a dose of the Spartan spirit.

The whole buying votes scheme is the biggest fucking scam but no one seems to really acknowledge it. They are just straight up robbing the community by doing this. If you want more income charge higher trading fees don't solicit bribes! Bunch of fucking assclowns.

I was the same. It only took me three more trades to get it to register my vote. I just traded back and forth between BTC and DOGE and it cost me about 9 cents.

I am a fan of the 'meme' contests. Let set up one of those. Anyone want to host the contest feel free to post it in the forum here.
