I'm afraid that the ship has already sailed on that latter reduction.  We're almost at block 107,000.  The average of the first 30k blocks was somewhat close to the 150k mined per block now (technically it was around 162.5k, but we'll assume 150k for a very rough estimate).  So approximately 107,000*150,000 or 16B coins have already been mined.  A reduction to maybe 25B might work, but it would have to be implemented very soon.

100B coins and block reward halving at 400.000 
like said a reduction of total coins to 25B would be safer for SPN.we are at block 106,993 and maybe we reach block 400.000 in 6 months at least.i don't see any exchange who keep a coin for 6 months without a huge profit for them(greedy exchanges).
please dev make it happen!!coin reduction or maybe a pure POS.

Also there are Spartan races all around the world, big one here in the UK, its a running race with obstacles etc. Can we not do anything with them in some way. I know they hold these Spartan race events world wide.

I have been considering the spartan races as an opportunity. Still need to develop a proper approach with them. We have a unique angle with Spartancoin and it truly fits into the competitive market well. So we can't blur the lines between them and us since we are separate. Once we are established and functioning then it will be easier to approach. They are huge... 3 million plus participants and growing strong. I also know many people compete on a level in which sponsorships occur. So we have opportunity there as well. Sponsor the next big athlete.

One other big note. I have just tested the update to the Spartan Wallet. Tested it a few minutes ago. I will be setting the date for the required update for everyone. I am cutting the coin amount to 50 Billion and digishield has been implemented as well. I will set the block number and date that this update will occur to give people time to download, just a hint its probably in the next 3 days this will occir. Windows, linux and Mac wallets will all be available plus source code updated on github.

Spartanglory website I am truly hoping in next 7 days but I did estimate end of august for completion so I have some room to work with to stay on target. Android wallet had issues with network connection but that too should see a release same time as website. I would like to launch them close together. Then I can work with this awesome social integration bit.
