I agree. Was looking at the markets for people to buy and sell Spartancoins and looking for feedback.

Agreeing to sell at only a certain price will only go so far, it could end up locking the coin into a cycle of being traded just between the early adopters and miners unfortunately.  If BTC is the only trading pair then the market cap has to be high enough to justify 1 spn = X satoshi, so unless there's a significant market cap out of the gate when spartancoin goes "public" you need at least one other smaller denomination trading pair so that sell walls don't back up.  Out of the options for smaller ones I'll always recommend  LTC for that over Doge, it's much more stable.  Look at other new coins that go in as BTC trading pairs early on they get pumped up to match their trade partner and then quickly crash, sometimes it takes weeks to recover sometimes they don't at all.  You need that smaller coin to trade value with to gradually build up, even a spartan needs to learn how to hold a sword before he can go to war(figured that was more appropriate than the old you gotta walk before you can run lol).

100% agree with you. I have seen a few coins crash as well once a huge sell wall builds up and then the buying just completely stops.

I'll second this, a seasoned trader and crypto coiner i see! This coupled with some big investors buying per day to prevent sell walls will make sure we smash them down!

I can see VTC as a smaller denomination coin as it sitting solidly around that $1 per coin mark, it would actually make a really good trading pair for a lot of exchanges at this point if it can maintain it's stability.  As much as I like reddcoin I don't know if it would necessarily make a good trading pair at this point, just too much in it's infancy still.

You also cant trade a coin in pair when it's not worth it.  It's like going to the store and having to pay a $1 for something that costs 10c because the store owner doesn't have change.  Also to be fair you can't really say that that being listed with LTC instead of BTC was the cause that dropped the value, that trading pair swap is common for a lot of coins, it's more of an effect of the value dropping not it's cause.  The crash you see happen is the coin stabilizing after being forced paired with BTC for too long out of it's actual value range.  Unless something big sweeps in to supported that inflated value the bubble bursts.  Zeit also had loads of other worries like the tomfoolery over at cryptorush.

Mintpal is my favourite exchange personally. I avoid cryptsy like the plague, i nicknamed it cryptsy the coin killer! It really tests a coins mettle, ALOT of short traders there which is lethal for a new coin.

Just posted this contest on Reddit to the Spartancoin and Cryptocurrency subreddits. I've been trying to make sure everything posted here or on the Facebook page get cross-posted there to drum up some more interest. Also trying to get those last few supporters for the Thunderclap campaign. Everyone keep up the good work.

I like seeing the support. The best thing we all can do is simply just do what you can. We grow when everyone pitches in and is consistent. Repetition is key here and i see some of you re-posting content everywhere you can. That is awesome. The t-shirt contest I hope will gain some attention and with it I am looking to begin some more promotions with physical product once that part is finalized. Having community created content will be huge.

Have a look at www.Spartancoin.org tonnes of info there. Main differences, Mature support from experienced community, no blind positivity just good old fashioned honesty! All basics of a coin were delivered on or just after the release of the coin (much more than most coins give already). Successful ICO launch (again more than a lot have offered already). This should put your faith in the Dev team straight away.

Feature wise, Fast transactions, perfect amount of coins for transactional use. In the works are sports/competitive sponsorship's. I'm sure earlier on in the forum posts there was a little leak based around a Spartan Exchange also
