I some how marginally beat Hilarious to win the game round, that's definitely all thanks to Real Madrid's late winner, No one could have predicted PSG being held by Club Brugge (those suckers cost me a 10.5 mBTC betslip 😒)...  What I actually found weird was that I was the only one who tipped Ajax (Initially, I had a 1-1 draw which I change after I saw the lineup).

I have only 10 points but not yet joined this league so I'm not sure which position I would be. I don't think anyone predicted 5 goals from Ajax, or 6 from City, even though they are capable of such things:)

I didn't watch any games yesterday but it seems there was a lot of high scoring games. Will catch up with the highlights on YouTube. Ronaldo can't have been impressed being subbed off and United losing. Not sure why they took him off. Saving him for the big game at West Ham this Sunday?

They were, unfortunately. I know Messi-less Barca is not the Barca I know but I thought Bayern were away, and 35/10 was incredible value for the home side. Alas.

Barca name and history have now became their problem. When clubs get to play against them they are all thinking football giant but vulnerable. Everyone believes they can win against them and nobody will underestimate them since they are Barca. Supporters are also used to certain style of play and you can't even try to defend against top opposition. You have to always attack and have good results, that will be tough this season.

Some more great games tonight, I'll watch Real probably, should be open game with lots of chances and hopefully some goals since I have my money on BTTS.

Barca are a shadow of their former self now. I wonder how much their revenues are going to be hit from losing Messi. A lot of people would have gone to the matches just to see him play and he would have been by far their biggest shirt sales. I heard Manchester United made over 197 million from selling Ronaldo shirts after he signed. Bot sure how they managed that.

I would also prefer there is an entry fee, even if it's little so as to make it worth while, since there's a sponsorship that'd be a plus, but I'm down for whatever.

I'd say I probably just got lucky with exact scores, as it came from the teams I least expected it from, both exact score had to come at dying minutes of both matches.

Hate to say it as I've loved watching them play over the years but Barca look every inch the spent force Milan looked like when their downhill trend started over ten years ago too. And they brought it all down on themselves, paying left and right with money they didn't have. Very sad to see, as they were the model club Liverpool aspired to when we had the Gillett-Hicks crapper.

United have always done well with shirt sales, ever since Beckham. I never really got it too, but there you go. Now if they're not careful, their debt bites them in the ass hard if they don't win anything over the next 4/5 years...

Ajax are literally unstoppable rn, and It was 2 - 0 up just before halftime, I had 3 - 1 in the pool because I thought Ajax would have another easy scoring encounter.

I watched Real Madrid's game and I would be honest it was deserved win for the Underdogs for their defensive heroics...

Real Madrid really pounced on them in attack throwing everything they've got at them but the team stood tall until the penalty which in my opinion was quite a harsh as Vinicius went way too easily and not as any result of the supposed contact, Benzema got Real Madrid levelled and I assumed that'd be the breakthrough they needed, however Sheriff were still very much disciplined and the stunner couldn't have come at a better time, really.

Before game in other thread I said that Sheriff proven to be dangerous by winning against Crvena Zvezda, Dinamo Zagreb and Shakhtar. But honestly, I couldn't expect such outcome, I thought that best what Sheriff can achieve today is 1 goal. But now they are serious contender to reach next round from death group.
Yeah, disappointed about City performance, but happy that Messi finally scored for PSG.
And Suarez scored away goal in Champions League for the first time since 2015. This thing looked unbeleavable for such level player.
And yeah, I think it would be good to start collecting money ASAP.

I'm not sure what the bigger surprise is so far - Sheriff with 6 or Brugge with 4 points. Both teams were placed in really strong groups and it would be a miracle if they qualify for the next round. In the next games Brugge is hosting City and Sheriff is away at Inter.

Regarding the main game - PSG was really comfortable against City for the majority of the game. City will need a striker, good teams have learned how to play against them.

yeah, Brugge with Vanaken is something worth watching
deliberately planned to watch match in Leipzig last night (could say that Brugge is my favorite team in this season CL), and they were very solid, 4 points from two rounds is letting them hope to avoid fourth place, which could place them on route to good placement in Europa league (that is what I am hopping for)

tough round, but Atletico showed their strength in last minutes to make it a little bit more predictable, did not expect Porto to lose that easily, after Sporting having five pieces at home from Ajax, now Porto, and teams from Portugal used to be tough on defense

Unfortunately, I skipped that one. They had a huge upset but who on earth except Sherif themselves would bet on their team, right? I did a bit of reading up on them now and it seems it's a corporation-funded club in an unrecognised region. Their oldest player has only been with them since 2018, and most of them are not locals, even the Moldovan national got his citizenship because of football. So I think we need to start seeing them as a proper club, and not a Moldovan club, as the team itself blows everyone else out of the water in their domestic league. But damn me for not seeing this upset.

Still, I am very happy overall, as ML on Liverpool was 1.9 (Trent missing sent bookies into overdrive), and I took both HT and 2nd half wins at 2.5.

Not to mention outrights on PSG, 3.23 odds against City was very enjoyable.

I am thinking both to score in Barca game since there should be goals in this one. Same market for Salzburg and Atalanta games.

My main bet for tonight will be Chelsea to win against Juve, provided there is no covid outbreak in their squad. So far they are missing Kante due to covid and it is always possible more cases will appear. Juve with injured Morata and Dybala in post CR era against one of the best defenses should be too much to overcome.

interesting bet, solid value, but I am inclined to under2.5 more than Chelsea to win

there is several "already seen" home wins tonight (Atalanta, Manchester United, Zenit), one "should be" home win - Salzburg, and two matches that could go on any side, Benfica - Barca and Wolfsburg - Sevilla
last match is all about how many will Bavarians score, my bet is on five pieces for Dynamo

and since Atletico scored last night, it is hard to believe that all Spain team will go to away wins, so will bet on either Benfica or Wolfsburg

I'm also joining the 'Chelsea to win' team. This year's Juventus looks really weak to me, Chelsea is playing well and is really tough to break down so the odds really do have good value.

Juventus conceded 10 goals in their 6 Serie A games, I expect them to be under pressure tonight. Lukaku to score might be a good bet as well, as much as I love Chiellini and Bonucci, they are over 70 years old together and they will physically find it hard against him for 90 minutes. If Werner starts, I might put something on him to score as well.

That is brave and masochistic choice, especially if you plan to watch the game. Given his form this last two seasons he will miss at least few good chances before finally scoring. Maybe it will happen but it will be painfull to watch for sure  Chelsea win and Lukaku to score on a betbuilder looks good, I'll probably add Chelsea to keep clean sheet as well. Should be good odds.
