I PMd everyone listed in the op but a handful haven't responded. One or two messaged me to say they dropped out, but I also just sent the sign-up link out to two others so they won't have joined the league yet.

If anyone wants to join then there's still time before tomorrow. If anyone is struggling for money or needs to delay just PM me. You can still put your picks in on superbru now and join any league at a later date so don't worry too much about having the money in before the tournament starts.

Hello everyone,,, I am hoping to do better this season with my predictions, but I do not expect my team to go far again (Spurs), even last season was a miracle for us, just too bad we had to meet the best team at the time, I know we could beat City means we could beat anyone else.

All depends now on the tenacity of our men and if Kane can as usual keep himself injury free.

Mad respect to Liverpool again for beating my team, but for your sake and mine, I hope we don't meet again (until the final I guess!).

I see a lot of bright prospects for us, with or without Neymar. PSG also seems to give him an ultimatum but I would like to think Messi is wiser and older and knows every campaign better so I have very high hopes.

I chose Olympiakos just because I am Greek and unlike most of my compatriots, I support other Greek teams internationally... even though we actually "hate" Olympiakos, haha... I am AEK by the way... Pathetic last season but wait for us to be back in our new awesome stadium!

I bet a 9/1 outright on Liverpool to WIN champions league last season so I see no harm in another $10 on them. Odds only 7.5/1 at Fairlay though. Interesting odds is for Bayern and Red Star to progress to Last 16 at Spur's expense: 14/1.

@toke: I suspect we see more Liverpool fans this year than other years =p

Me I'm satisfied with Liverpool/Barca parlay 5/1. For now. Definitely potential for upsets tonight, as bookies give home advantage a lot of gas in betting. Ajax were rather poor at home last season I recall, so Lille at almost 7/1 seems tempting.

My opinion (for what it's worth) on the French teams:
- Don't overestimate Paris. You can count on them to screw up in 1/8 or 1/4. And with Neymar suspended for 3 2 matches, M'Bappé and Cavani injured and Icardi only playing 30 minutes, it's not going to be pretty against Madrid.
- Don't underestimate Lille, they are young, inexperienced, but there are good future players (Osimhen?) and (at home) they can create small surprises.
- Lyon, it could be 50/50. Either it's all good or it's all bad.

In other words, it's not this year that a French club will be raising the cup with big ears again.

I am thinking a lot of goals in Dortmund-Barca game and Germans not loosing this one. If I were sure Suerez and Messi will not play today I would put a nice amount of money on it but in this situation it will just be a part of parley for small stake.

Now with the start of Champions League we have a full compliment of football leagues available to us. Damn it was a long summer, i think I am addicted to high level club football.

Thank you for the link I tried to do it quickly but it kept not saving and then the matches started but it is ok. For the record, Inter and Lyon Win 2-0 each;) I think both games very few chances, many mistakes!

First day so many was expected results like this but still we can say too many bets lost and today was good for Bookies as they have some very favorable results like Dortmund and Liverpool and Chelsea these both also heavily backed by overs.
