Trofo agreed: Liverpool regular time win is not certain because Real always find a way in the last 15 minutes, but always give up early leads, so I actually think a HT win is far more guaranteed than FT -- and bookies got that wrong IMO.

Anyway Top 5, don't forget your final picks. Points are tight so Top 3 is actually still undecided haha. I still will award the prizes as stated when we created the late season pool:
1st place: 2 mbtc

I know sponsorship matters but as usual, I wouldn't mind putting a slightly more generous amount if there are no offers, let's say at least 12 mbtc (roughly $350 now), possibly more if Liverpool win this as I had a not-so-tiny amount on a Liverpool outright when odds were close to 9/1.

I also will support Liverpool. Not because I'm Barcelona fan and I hate Real. I just want that team which played better football would win. As said above, Real played shit against City, but like it's usual for them they managed to go through loophole and reach final. And it also happened in previous seasons few times when they won Champions League.

Champions League really deserves better treatment. It is after all a club competition which clubs themselves value higher than anything else.

Only problem with CL is that due to the nature of competition, group stages and then knockout rounds, person in lead after first knock out round will almost always take the title.

I've no idea what will happen nor do I really care who wins - I'd just like to see a great game. Hoping for lots of goals, cards, and drama. Hopefully Bale off the bench to score another all time CL classic over-head kick  . Gone for 2-2 cos I can't really decide on a winner and am just hoping there's a lot of goals and action. Probably will stick a quid on my classic both teams to score in both halves, 2 cards and corners in each half etc.

There's never been as much interest in the CL pools as in the PL ones but I'll set it up earlier for the next one.

So, kick-off has been delayed by 30 minutes. As I understand many LFC fans got into stadium without tickets and police used tear gas against them. Can't remember such things in such big events like CLBfinal. What is obvious, such delays isn't good for players before most important game of season.

Yeah, I myself lost interest after group stage or 1/8 finals and no doubts that EPL pool always will be more popular because nature of tournament. But I'm sure that we can have better things than we have now.

It's been overwhelmingly Liverpool for majority of the first half and Courtois is the reason why Real Madrid is still in the game, he's been very brilliant tonight, but a very crucial decision for Real Madrid late in the half, it's almost reminiscent of how most of their games have gone this season, play not so well and then get a single chance which they get to build on.

Liverpool dominated game and had so many chances, but at least for me, there were no such feeling that they are going to score. Don't know exactly why, but there was lack of something. Liverpool had some chances and Courtois was there every time to deny those attempts. I feel like Liverpool had to do more and take even more risk towards the of the game. It is stupid to say something bad about the team that just won CL but Real defense is not so good and any team can find opportunities against them.

nevertheless, I was neutral in the final, but leaned to Liverpool, since they were better side, and actually played football in the end

I really don't think Liverpool could have done anything better to be honest, I'm more opined that it was just one of those days where you really just can't get things to go your way regardless of how well you try, the result if fair enough should have been nothing less than a 3 or 4 goals lead for Liverpool even at the break, Courtois seemed more like a superhero last (way more above his usual standards), and the strikers couldn't have done anything to prevent those saves tbh. Real Madrid played like shit almost all night long, and only had a couple of chances with Liverpool playing more out of desperation. Klopp couldn't have started the game with better line up imo, Diaz while not being clinical enough was very efficient in creating plays and making runs, starting with Jota would have had Salah and Mane become the only one making the dribbles or generate attacks, and Firmino looked really rusty (Klopp should probably try and get all his players on in a heavy rotation policies to keep them match fit) because none of the substitutions seemed to have made them a better team imo.

Sorry to you Liverpool guys for last night. I personally thought you deserved it, but on the other hand Real Madrid knocked out the holders and two of the best teams in Europe, City and Liverpool, so they also deserved it.

They don't play Champions League finals, they win it, and so the adage proved.

If Benzema doesn't get it after season like this and lifting a CL trophy then I don't know what else he can do to win that particular reward. Seems like it should be a done deal already.

Loads of news coming out about the UCL final in Paris, what a fiasco, they should just punish France and never let them host another final.

Anyway though I'm also reading that the next season is going to be the last in the current format.

New season in 2023 is going to be supposed to resemble tennis, where you get seeded and ranked, and high seeds only start playing later, and no country protection in the leagues. Not sure I like it since I don't really understand it yet but seems like a weird way to change the system. More games for some smaller teams I guess.

There will be an investigation into the organization of the event and I'm really curious to see what will they find.

That is just ridiculous. So what now, manager should not invite fans to come and cheer their club? I think everybody with half of a working brain just knows this is a blunder on organization side. There is only a choice between UEFA and Paris police for me. Probably more on the police side, but UEFA did not help as well.
