HODL is not advisable!

In my very own experienced there is no good outcome when you HODL too much.
First of all do you know what HODL means?
HODL is used when referring to hold the cryptocurrency rather than selling it.
Holding cryptocurrency is no good because it means you don’t have a knowledge about trading, for me, you can do scalping trading and increase your holding by it and gain profit.
I suggest that all in the Crypto community must learn the basic trading fundamentals. There are free tutorials anywhere. Don’t be lazy, think big.

I know what you mean but what you say is how the HODL is that you will not get a trading experience that is wrong in my opinion, if you really do HODL I am sure you will often see the market and will understand how the market moves, you can also evaluate decision made, is this not experience?

Hodling is for long-term goals and day trading for short-term purposes, if we can do both then it will be better.

In my experience I had coins I did hold and have fallen to dust, I had coins that I did hold and rose to the sky then fallen to dust, I had coins that I've sold too early and could have earned more for keeping them and I still have coins on which I am on profit.

So.. yeah.. everything can happen, so the best advice for everybody is to dig (inform) and think for himself.

When decide to hold any crypto we should be have plan for how long to hold it and how much target profit, when that target reached and then sell all that crypto and lock the profit in to fiat. I do not agree with you that HODL is bad because that is the best way to make good money. Take for instance, people who invested in Ripple and sold them as soon as they see increase lost huge rewards compared to those who kept if for a long time. Another example is Verge... if you are a day trader, you can make some cash in a short time but if you can HODL, chances are there that you will become a millionaire someday. Verge and Ripple made so many millionaire in the crypto space than any other crypto and all of them were people who HODL and not day traders.

I do not think so. On the contrary, HODL - was invented for the strongest in crypto. Let's remember the etherium, once it was distributed by thousands for participating in the airdrop. And only a few who believed in him, now secured a "beautiful life." I believe in HODL!

I think hold is better because by holding the assets you have at a very expensive price you can be safer because you don't lose the assets you have at a very cheap price so you can keep holding back if you don't want to lose.

For those who is afraid of quitting their hodl caves - I think it is time to accept previous faults and start to rebuild that you invested using, as author mentioned, scalp trading. First work with smaller amounts, always set stop loss. Eventually, you'll start making some profit but still having you bags with you

Good point, one of the factors of holding a coin is knowing that there's a good future ahead, if you hodl a project you should also study the fundamentals and all the important roles of this project from the society, if that particular coins will have a big participations and will be usable then holding it for a long term period will give you good chances to have a better value.

the correct term is "bag hold" not "hold" these two are different.

for example when you buy bitcoin and hold it, you are HODLing and it is beneficial because bitcoin will rise eventually. and even if price doesn't go up and stays here forever, you are still owning some of bitcoin which is the only decentralized currency in existence. that has to count for something!
but when you buy an altcoin and hold it, then you are "bag holding" which is the thing that is not advisable. because altcoins don't have a good future anyways so their long term prices will decline, specially those with huge supplies.

Very few people can actually daytrade successfully , unless you have insider information its not even worth attempting. The Hodl meme is a joke at this point, but it is really solid advice to most investors.
