I love Britcoin. I hope I don't sound like a fanboy elsewhere on the forums, but it just makes everything so straightforward.

yup I agree - don't know why people don't use their sister site https://intersango.us/ either - 0% commission seems like a no brainer - is it the difficulty of getting funds in/out?

It's easier than any other similar service to get coins in and out.

I think it will take a while to build up some momentum. For now it's the networking thing of no-one new uses it merely because there is no-one already using it. In other words, at the moment buying or selling you will find more and better prices elsewhere.

Hi,

We're still getting emails about people wishing to send EUROs or withdraw to their EURO account. While Britcoin does this for many SEPA countries, for 2 weeks or so now we have been operating a strictly EURO site called

Intersango.com

Like britcoin.co.uk, it is completely free although there may be SEPA bank transfer costs. Usually there is a 5PLN bank cost which is roughly 1.27euro to send money which the user covers. There are no deposit or withdrawal fees or commission charges though on our end.

This is the same software that britcoin.co.uk uses and it is run by the same reliable and security conscious people.

Hint: I get this error messagte, too, from time to time. Only in Firefox though. In Internet Explorer, everything is fine. If you get this error message, maybe try to change your browser.

I'm pretty sure you'll see the same message whichever browser you use.  It's a server-side error, which fixes itself each time it happens.  It takes up to 30 seconds for the site to notice bitcoind is down, and another few minutes to start a new one.

Hihi, so now you can easily calculate how long it takes for me to switch from one browser to the other :-p
Thanks for the information!

No, I can't tell exactly how slow you are.

What I'm saying is that the error message is generated by the server when it can't connect to the server's bitcoind process and has nothing to do with your choice of web browser.

Sorry, what I meant is that me switching browsers takes up to 30secs plus a few minutes (to notice bitcoind is down and to restart it). Was supposed to be a joke Cheesy
