yes, I can join what the others said: so far I have only had very positive experiences with britcoin (and the customer service!) Keep up the good work!

One question, though: what happened to intersango.com? I get forwarded to www.intersango.com which doesn't know my google ID. How can I lock into my old intersango.com account and access its funds/BTCs?

Thanks,

sonba

Register a new account.

You'll need to be logged in before you do the next step.

Go to http://intersango.com/authenticated/openid.php

If you're using google you'll need to put https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id into the box.

csrf token mismatch! when I try and log in with myopenID.

Which worked fine yesterday  Huh

Checked with open ID and Its only been my IP but changed my pass again anyway.

After some googlin it seems it stands for "Cross-site request forgery"

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Same issue as before apache logs were enormous due to someone running a DoS attack.

Migration to intersango.com

britcoin will be migrated to intersango.com on Sep 19th at 02:00 london time

More information: https://britcoin.co.uk/migration/

1. In the migration instructions, step 4, the URL is truncated and says https://intersango.com/authenticated/openid. instead of https://intersango.com/authenticated/openid.php

2. I followed the instructions and it says my account is migrated, but my funds (not orders) have not been transferred. Is that going to occur automatically on Sept 19 or do I need to do something else now?

I have updated the instructions so that (hopefully) they are more clear.

The actual step of migrating your account cannot occur until the 19th, doing so now will migrate any accounts from the previous intersango.com or intersango.us

Thank you. I assume account migration means the whole thing will be shipped over, including account balances and order history.

Uh, I would save the order history, actually. When they merged the older intersango into the new intersango the transaction history seems to have gotten lost Sad

Currently the migration code does not contain your previous history.

I have a partial script for pulling user histories as a csv file, although it is very much not complete.

"For yahoo and google enter the url exactly as it is displayed and go to https://britcoin.co.uk/authenticated/openid.php"

Going to this page gives a 404 error.

I tried going to https://intersango.com/authenticated/openid.php instead, and entered my google openid as it is listed on https://britcoin.co.uk/?page=profile; but all I get is "No open claims found for this OpenID."

Have I been registered for migration or not?  I can't tell.

I've updated the instructions in an attempt to make them more clear.

"The actual migration step cannot be completed until Sep 19th"

You can register an account and use it but the actual migration step cannot occur until the current britcoin is shutdown.

This is due to the way that google and yahoo handle openid.  When you use google for openid the domain that you use it from changes your effective identity.

Unfortunately this means that users cannot pre-register their current britcoin accounts on intersango.com.

Buy BTC, withdraw then insert into new Intersango account?

http://images.onbux.com/banner.gif
I then use the money to buy BitCoins. You can too!

That will work as well, if you have pending deposits you'll still want to migrate your account after the 19th though.

Just so that everybody is clear transfers in GBP to the account listed on intersango.com are being processed into intersango.com accounts.

Still a bit unsure on the process, I have a britcoin account that has funds in as well as a couple of incomplete orders, I have just registered on intersango with the same email address as britcoin.

As a previous post stated I get the error "No open claims found for this OpenID"

What do I need to have done to ensure my Britcoin funds are matched to my newly created Intersango account then the migration occurs and are there when I login on the 19th?

Thanks for your help and sorry if I am being a bit thick!

Ben

It's now possible for me to manually migrate individual accounts, however I'm really only comfortable doing so over a real time communications platform.

IRC and skype both work for me
