Hey guys i heard some great news markets.cx is down because they are setting up their new bitcoin mining service on there where you can buy gh/s and they are getting it ready to take on cex.io. I thought all hope was lost till i heard that now my hope is renewed...i really hope this is the reason they're down and that they aren't gonna just walk out with all my ltc.

Old news, old excuse, sorry.

Crypto world doesn't have time for this.
Professionals would come with a statement by now.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

My hope is not completely gone yet. I was online at couple of minutes before the page went offline. A new GHS/BTC section was already there.

Not sure if it makes a lot of sense to implement it into the site and then switch it off for ever. Why not first collecting some BTCs?

yes, I also have seen the new BTC/GHS section, the same day markets.cx disappeared...

But now it has since 2 days ago that web site is off-line and there is not any official message from them about this so long Outage...

It could be better if someone from markets.cx customer support would send an email to all customers, telling what is really happening, or at least posting an update message here on the forum

Well it would only take a minute to post on these forums.... I don't get why when legit sites go offline a lot of them are like ghosts when it would only take a moment to read/respond on the forums they originally came to advertise..

SCAM

anyway, it seems that after March 21st they did not move the LTC from my assigned LTC address, so it seems our LTC are still there in their wallets...

So if it this is a scam it is really strange...

Probably they are experiencing "technical difficulties" in making the BTC/GHS integration... Anyway surely a bad customer support...

SCAM ?? The fact tell probably YES... But we hope NOT..

There is a mixture of both positive and negative points.. it certainly seems weird for a scam.. paying out the day before.. not removing ltc from wallets, telling everyone they were doing maintenance

Maybe their ISP died or they lost access to their DNS (would explain why email is bouncing too) - or maybe the process of adding ghs corrupted their database and they are rebuilding everyone's accounts from scratch before going live again..

If they are still down with no more announcements in a week.. then it is was a scam.. nothing we can do about it either way

Hi HST,

did you bought KHS with your LTC, or did you had the real LTC in your account, before the site went down? I am asking because my account is empty. But that might be correct as all my LTC I had converted into KHS.

I would say that is just their mailserver as their web address resolves differently

C:\>nslookup www.markets.cx
Server:  UnKnown
Address:  192.168.1.1

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    markets.cx
Addresses:  2400:cb00:2048:1::a29f:f8cd
          2400:cb00:2048:1::a29f:f7cd
          162.159.247.205
          162.159.248.205
Aliases:  www.markets.cx

but that could just be cloudflare.. The company is suppose to be in China..

I'm in Australia - tracert only goes as far as Sydney then stops (cloudflare)..
without cloudflare giving us the real IP we wont be able to trace it

surely...  cloudflare role is to protect a web server from DDOS attacks, giving to the web browser, cloudflare ip address...

cloudflare can give real ip of a web site only to an US court..

but following this guide to find real ip of a server under cloudflare...
http://tipstrickshack.blogspot.it/2012/11/how-to-find-real-ip-protected-by-cloud.html

it seems that server admin, did not hide mail.markets.cx (46.22.211.182) and it seems that the real server could be located in Estonia, using an UK datacenter:  Inferno Solutions
address:        25 Bruton Street, London W1J 6QW, UK

whose admin is serbian

Besides, reverse lookup for '46.22.211.182' is mail.markets.cx
reverse lookup is the real dns name of a server...  why this datacenter called its 46.22.211.182 server mail.markets.cx Huh

So the countries involved could be: UK, Serbia and Estonia

Someone could try to contact www.inferno.name who looks like their real hosting provider...  they have a chatbox on home page, but they speacks serbian Huh Sad
