We did a final compile of linux we figured some wont just want to use source once that is done compiling the wallet zip will be ready give us 10 minutes

it matters if it takes you time to install, set up the config, and then try to actually get in with everyone else at launch and have a fighting chance vs getting in after you're already @ block 1000 and diff is at 2000.

It needs to be released more than 10 mins before, saturated links, ddos all kinds of stuff. I heard some people in less developed countries only have 200kb download speed...imagine waiting for a 20mb wallet....be  ages to download for them.

Really needs to be out 20 mins before at the very least. Every person should have it on their local machine before pass is given

Indeed, when your solo mining you are connecting to your local network.  I would warn however, that given the amazing numbers of pre-registrations we have already received, you would likely need a great deal of hash power to successfully solo-mine this launch.

Of coarse, with huge blocks like these, a lucky block is always possible and would be a wonderful find
