In my view, regulation will be good for Crypto industry. As we can now see  that many Govt are looking for ways to regulate the industry.

Regulation will be a good thing in the long run. It will build trust for the industry among the masses thereby resulting in mass adoption. With regulation, people will feel more comfortable and have a sense of security to invest in crypto.

I don't believe that regulation means we have to declare our portfolio. Just as nobody cares to know exactly how much you own in the bank.

Regulation will also help in curbing the possibility of using crypto to launder money and place a check and balance in ICO which will make it very difficult for scam ICOs to operate.

I say regulation will in the end be a good thing for crypto..

What's your view about it?

I agree that bitcoin or other kind of cryptocurrency should be regulated. Regulation doesn't mean that we have to give up our freedom, but instead, rules protect us from scam stuff like that.

We definitely need some kind of regulation in cryptos, because so many people are launching ICOs just to make money. Once registration reflect similar consumer protections, there will be more incentive to develop better project. Regulation is needed and welcomed; to a reasonable degree.

I say regulation will in the end be a good thing for crypto..

Like any such process, the result is not perfect from start. If the process is led by entities against Bitcoin, the first results will be awful.
Yes, at the end it should be beneficial for everybody, but it may be important also what happens "in between". And that's why our side should try to work on some drafts, if possible (I really don't know how).

For Everything in life we have chosen regulatory authorities for smoother working, then why should crypto be any different. In fact, most of the uncertainty and volatility might disappear too.

From my point of view, regulation can help the crypto-currency world to start a completely new frontier in its development, but the only other thing is that crypto-currencies today have very great opportunities in anonymity, but this problem will soon be resolved.

It all depends on the type of regulations, it may be favourable to some and to Some, it may not.
All I all, if Crypto is been fully regulated, across all the countries, there will be a form of limitations with the way we are using crypto currently, example is the U.S. these government agencies will want to control the way we use our crypto token/coin.
They will always want to be at the top.

indeed the purpose of the regulation is to make everything better and I support it. but the thing that often happens is that these regulations are often misused by certain individuals or groups to create profit for themselves.

Agree. The regulatory function is used for the issuance of ICO. This is very good, if the world regulates the issuance of ICO then bitcoin will be very expensive, which is a good thing for cryptocurrency.

In my point of view, cryptocurrency regulation is good.

why because many industry can raise fund easily through ICO.

When compared to normally fundraising this one have easier than that.

Lot of good things will happen and some bad things also is there but it will take some time to resolve that problem .

Nowadays some country adopted the crypto technology.

I also agree with you OP.

I think the only way to see BTC to a new all-time-high is to better regulate the market. If the market gets regulated and we won't see any money laundering and illegal activities then the doors to Wall Street will be open and the big players will join the table.

So, most likely the prices will increase and eventually stabilize as opposed to the high volatility we're seeing today.

At some point, regulation is important most specially bitcoin and ethereum and the rest of the top 10 cryptocurrency, nowadays scams and frauds are popular every day, where coins was introduced and after few weeks it will be abandoned by the team, so it must be controlled by the government body.

Crypto is not as anonymous as you think, you can be tracked down if you are involved in any criminal activity.
So, don't see Crypto as a place of hide if you are a wanted person   Grin

I believe it can give more positive than negative results. having regulations, it can somehow attract new investors. If I'm a newbie and don't know much about crypto, I can be more confident to invest if there is an existing standard regulation. I don't know how can it be possible, though.

Totally agree that regulations are good, now when we have so many cryptos and ICOs and when we have ambition that it should be form of future currency, than yes it should be regulated somehow, same is about ICOs. here is the article about existing regulations, take a look: https://icoguide.com/en/blog/ico-regulations-icos-and-their-impending-containment

regulations are BEHIND THIS MASSIVE DROP IN CRYPTO.

Are you stupids or what?? The moment governments started to control and regulate, was the time when money went away from Crypto.

Regulations ARE A FUCKING DISASTER TO CRYPTO, since taxes, laws, legislations and the end of anonimity are the ones to blame for this enormous crash

BTC no more than 6k by end of 2019. ETH no more than 300$ by end 2019. Huge market manipulation, huge amount of scammers and hypers.

I think that regulation of Crypto-currency is good in all senses: investors will receive additional guarantees for the security of their deposits, and the state will leverage influences on representatives of crypto-currency projects and the ability to fill the budget through taxation of crypto-currency transactions!

Regulation is not bad as long as it will not destroyed the essence of decentralization. Because it is the ultimate purpose why CryptoCurrency was created if the government purpose is only to make Crypto-Community a safe place for everyone and far from the presence of "launderers and criminals" its fine and very welcome.

I  think it will be good for crypto because it will at least bring some security to investors and holders. And since security will be higher, more investor might be tempted to participate in crypto investments.

maybe with supervision and regulation there are certainly ups and downs that investors will receive as possible with government supervision can make investors safe and comfortable in investing with cryptocurrencies
