I think the government cannot regulate cryptocurrency. Technology blockchain implies anonymity. That is why government agencies will not be able to fully control the cryptocurrency.
No one, not even the government can regulate the cryptocurrencies because they are mostly decentralized but the crypto exchanges are not yet decentralized so they are the target of government 's regulation. A regulation that is strict will really bad for the cryptomarket but there are already some countries with crypto friendly regulation which only aim to protect its people from criminal elements that uses cryptocurrencies in illegal activities. DEX has less demand compared to the centralized exchange and you can't even consider dex as the main thing to take a conclusion about how decentralized the cryptocurrency is. Regulation will give convenience to the investors because they get the more guarantee but it should not very strict as stock market.

For me personally, regulation today has real opportunities for improving and increasing the cryptocurrency market and its capitalization. I hope that you will still be able to correctly understand why we need regulation.

Regulation goes completely against the core of crypto which is decentralization.Governments should stay focused on their own fiat currency, most of these governments are heavily in debt with trillions in unfunded liabilities.
Crypto is a great hedge against them. Regulation is also impossible especially with anon coins like Monero.

The regulation of crypto industry means that everybody takes it for serious. Without suitable regulation this market will die someday under it's own pressure. Current situation looks like the end of wild west period at the end of 1900s. It's just unavoidable step to move forward.
The regulation of the market will surely happen, what we do not know is if it is going to become successful, many people are not going to comply and just accept whatever the government says, they are going to resist and it is likely that the amount of people that will choose that path will be significant since this market attracts people with that kind of ideology.

The regulation is contrary to the basic principles of cryptocurrency. I would not like to participate in such a project. The greater the anonymity, the more blockchain features.

I think it would be helpful to organize. because many scam projects continue to be advertised as negative. These need to be prevented in some way. This will also be with very strict regulations.

It depends on what you want from the cryptocurrency market. If greater stability and low volatility, then, of course, yes, regulation will contribute to this. If there is a huge and very risky profit, the regulation will stop manipulating the market and, accordingly, it will not be necessary to wait for price spikes.

regulation is very important but not all governments want to do that, there are many factors that make it difficult to handle, especially there are always pros and cons so in my opinion there is no reason to wait for that because if we wait we will miss it, I see crypto potential it is very big to make a profit so I cannot ignore it to wait until regulation really exists

Regulation is crucial for the crypto industry to go further and become widespread just like Internet in late 90s. Regulation means governments take crypto into account. Actually it's a threat for financial system, but now it's already pretty serious to be noticeable.

There is need to bring sanity into scrutinizing scam ICOs thus there is need for regulations however this will absolutely requires KYC in most cases as we are all aware that many investors wants to protect there privacy thus will want to avoid KYC invariably resulting to many ICOs not reaching hard cap or soft cap however regulations will eliminates scam and fraudulent ICOs.

Looking at the core features of blockchain, we would realized that regulation is anti-blockchain. Blockchain should be decentralized; governing itself without any regulation from any entity. However, we are at a stage that for us to move forward spontaneously, we have to allow regulation for the reasons well-known to us all; market manipulation, ICO scams, money laundry, high volatility and so on. Regulation will be for the good of crypto.

Regulation is not all good not all bad, but I believe cryptocurrency is supose to be censorship resistant ,fully decentralized and have no barrier to entry. Regulation will only lead to control and exploitations!
I am also against the regulation of cryptocurrency , I think it is freedom for people , but the regulation of ico I think it can be done, as a lot of scams now

Regulation is good but the problem is that if the process fall into the hand of regulators who do not like crypto because of their selfish interest then the outcome will be very bad. If crypto want to be regulated it must be done by people that understand well what it is and how much potential the crypto can have in term of benefit most especially to some third world countries. regulating crypto will reduce problem associated with scam and AML. It will also bring more investors to the market because it will remove the fear associated with investing in bitcoin and above all issue of market manipulation will reduce.

In my view, regulation will be good for Crypto industry. As we can now see that many Govt are looking for ways to regulate the industry.
Regulation will be a good thing in the long run. It will build trust for the industry among the masses thereby resulting in mass adoption. With regulation, people will feel more comfortable and have a sense of security to invest in crypto.
I don't believe that regulation means we have to declare our portfolio. Just as nobody cares to know exactly how much you own in the bank.
Regulation will also help in curbing the possibility of using crypto to launder money and place a check and balance in ICO which will make it very difficult for scam ICOs to operate.
I say regulation will in the end be a good thing for crypto..
What's your view about it?
I am sure that regulation is good. The market needs new investments. Institutional investors are not willing to take risks at the moment. We see problems in the stock market and there is a chance that many are looking in the direction of crypto. But the lack of regulation prevents big money from entering crypto.

So true because the main mission of cryptocurrency is a decentralized ecosystem wherein no single organization has a total control of anything aside from yourself but due to the scam projects the government has step-in since they receive a lot of reports from individual or investors.

Regulation is not bad if the purpose is for the betterment of one thing. I think its good for crypto to have regulations so that it can lessen those scam projects. Regulation can be useful if will not abuse by others.

I feel that regulations are going to be effective in a good way to the crypto market since we need to be sure that every action we are taking is legal.

This is how we are driven into the herd under total control, or rather, no one is driving us to run there.

I still believe that the cryptocurrency market should not be regulated at all and it is very bad if it is done.
