I have an S9J with a bricked control board. Is there a way for me to run braiins os off of sd? I tried and no go, any help?
My S9 was not bricked, but I was able to boot from SD. Assuming you have Braiins loaded on a bootable SD, you need to change the jumper pins on the S9 control board. Unfortunately the case design of the S9 required me to completely disconnect the controller (all cables), unscrew the face plate and pull the whole controller card out. Below are the pin settings for the S9: From: https://docs.braiins-os.org/s9

Love the OS, great work. I do think implementing a fix for the temps should be a high priority.

It would be sweet if you also added a decent REST API. I'd like to add support to my management tool: https://github.com/brndnmtthws/mother-of-dragonsI can't find any documentation about your API, so from what I can tell the only thing available is what cgminer ships with. One thing that's great about the T1 (and Innosilicon miners) is that it has a reasonable REST API.

What are the steps for updating the firmware, I have tried updating via ssh and via software menu but to no success.
Or do we have to re-image the card again?
Thanks.

Ok on a scale of 1-10 how easy is this to load on to S9's and T1's. How technical savvy do I have to be?

Trying out the software for the first time. My other machines everything is good. I have one that the fans are at full RPM's and not temp readings... It is hashing just fine according to slush pool and awesomeminer....
Any ideas on how to correct this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, we recommend to read through the documentation on this website. There is a step-by-step manual how to flash bOS to the mining device. Hopefully it will be helpful.

None AFAIK, but I'd be happy to add support to my project if they're willing to work with me

NEW RELEASE: Braiins OS Cobalt is here!
Thanks guys! Appreciate your continued work, great update. As a side note, I tried to update through the web interface, I could update the package lists but could not find any option to upgrade. Upgrading via SSH was no problem.

'opkg update; opkg install firmware' did not work well
miner stuck 'cannot connect to cgminer' .. went back to previous firmware, now chain config is gone.
