If you have free Bounty tokens, would you sell at a loss? It can have advantages or disadvantages to sell at a loss: to avoid more loss but also to realises losses.

Personally I would wait for a better overall crypto market and sell later, because it's a bear market right now. If price rises again you can make a better profit and get more money back per coin if you wait and sell later. Market recovery will be positive to many good projects.

Seemingly right mate and I've experienced that scenario. I'm holding my tokens from Bounty rewards but prices quickly drop down once it is listed on an exchanges. I feel bad with that and from now on,  I immediately sell my tokens once I've received it.

in my opinion it is only a waste of time because it cannot be ascertained when we hold a coin for a year, for me when I get a reward from the bounty and the exchange market is available just sell, because now it is very difficult for a coin from an ICO project to go up after listing in the market.

No, I would rather hold them even for a longer time than selling them in a losing value. There is no use of selling them in losing value because it doesn't give a valid argument to sell unprofitably. Just hold and wait for the perfect time to sell when the value reach the moon.

You can't really sell a bounty token at a loss since you didn't invest any amount in it aside from time and effort. You don't lose money you didn't shell out. That's why for bounty tokens, i would't flinch selling them even at their initial value

Firstly, I always think that bearish periods can give you very big opportunities, but in addition to that, your portfolio can shrink more. In my way of thinking, waiting for the bull run can be a very profitable choice for your tokens.

It really isn't all that Nice bounty for the token in the hold. a few token bounty with a clear concept of the project and certainly will be good for us to hold in a long time as the development of the project the bounty that we follow. but there are a few token a bounty after the release in Exchange after it did not increase because of the team do not develop project. so there's a nice bounty token in the hold, there is also a direct selling, because we all depend on the project.

There are a few options open to you, either sell at a loss and buy back later or hold for long term. persoanlly I dont really see how you can sell bounty tokens at a loss, unless you put a price on your work for them- otherwise regarldess of price you sell it should be marked as a profit

I do not even expect any bounty participant to be picking any how project unless there is a good future for it or else they really do not care about the project performance in the long run and they are just after what they want to get in the short term. For what it is worth, I believe that anyone who is smart should always be able to identify a very good project and they should consider themselves as investors as well. Most people who approach bounty this way are the ones who always tend to wait for the long term as long as the potential is still intact.

If you sell with the plan of buying back in open market after the bottom is hit then probably you are going good. You must contribute to an ICO after many analysis then you can avoid selling them in losses. Less profit will be earned and even if there's no assurance on when will the recovery exactly happen, people should choose to wait and hold in order to earn bigger once increase take over especially if a coin is really promising. Once recovery happen, we might also see development on the market value of newly listed coins.

For what I have seen selling for a loss is not such a bad idea especially if you are holding an altcoin that doesn't have a lot of volume, I say this because I have seen many people complaining about holding their coins for too long only to lose even more money, at some point it is better to just take your losses, accept it and move on than to keep holding hoping that things will change.
