If you have free Bounty tokens, would you sell at a loss? It can have advantages or disadvantages to sell at a loss: to avoid more loss but also to realises losses.

Personally I would wait for a better overall crypto market and sell later, because it's a bear market right now. If price rises again you can make a better profit and get more money back per coin if you wait and sell later. Market recovery will be positive to many good projects.

What's your strategy to make most profits now?
What to do with our tokens obtained as a result of participation in the bounty campaigns ICO, should depend on the viability of the project, which resulted in the release of tokens. If we believe in the project, then we need to keep its tokens until their price reaches an acceptable value for us. It is worth selling at a loss only if we are sure that tokens will continue to fall in price. In other cases, this is not worth it. If the project develops, then the tokens should be kept, no matter how long it seems.

I usually hold the token that I'm holding if it has a potential to grow in the future. Tokens that come from a legitimate ICO will surely gives you good profit if you are patience in waiting for its price to go up. The bear market that happened last year made it difficult to find a good project or ICO and a lot of them delayed their payment to the bounty participants because of bearish condition where prices continuous to decline. Many of these ICOs are also delayed their listing in the exchanges because the price of their tokens will surely dump by bounty hunters and investors that have been waiting.

I have sold my bounty tokens before they got dumped badly on exchanges so I don't consider it as a profit or loss because I just check the ICO prices and the price of my coin at the exchange. I feel bad for many tokens as they were pumped by 500% after I sold them and when I could earn $100000, I sold them at $120 while others reached $10 from $1000. Can't say which tokens will reach what value and hence it's better to sell them as you earn them.

You are saying it's better to sell them as you earn them but in your case you sold some bounty rewards for $120 when you could've made $100 000? I know this is probably 1 project out of 1000s but for me this would be reason enough not to dump everything as soon as I get it.

That's because I did not buy those coins and earned them so in this case I only get profit. Investors on the other hand have to look out for profit and the coin which I was talking about was PRL that had only been listed on Etherdelta and when it got listed on bigger exchanges, it pumped like hell. It was during early 2018 and since then selling coins has never been profitable. I dump everything right now as the market won't be able to recover for a long time till may be 2020-21 and I can't be so patient till then as my country has anyways stopped banking all cryptos.

Ahh I can remember Oyster Pearl. I guess such an opportunity hardly will come back (if ever). But I still think it can make sense to hold bounty tokens of promising projects until the next bull market comes in full swing.
We have got a lot of golden opportunities. Not only oysterp pearl but there was a lot of campaigns in 2017 that worth a lot of money. as long as the token is promising and we must hold it but when it's a crap cion and then sell it.

Yes, but these were projects / bounties in 2017. I don't think that 2019/20 can be that lucrative for bounty hunters. But nevertheless I am not a fan of dumping all bounty tokens as soon as possible. Better to sell only like half part of it so, in case the tokens have a future, you still hold some.

The token was worth less than $0.01 and then jumped to over $1 in no time so I don't think we'll get to see such a big pump in any of the recent altcoins bearing in mind the market has terribly suffered due to several incidents. Now, I'm just holding my coins coins and earning dividends from projects like Pundi and MTC that give $100 per month. Besides these, am just selling the other coins.

in any case, pundix has already made me happy when I allowed to buy housing for these coins.  I am very happy, But I can’t stop at this and I hope on the topic of Coins, which really give good hopes in the future.  I bought myself Populus, Puma Pay, ethereum and stellar.

Most people selling at a lost are the ones sinking the market even more when it comes to token first if you believe the project then stay calm and then work on your prediction and analysis to deem it right for Hold I think that should help in making some determinations

Definitely no one talks about the fall in prices when it comes to a really promising project that shows good results today, as during the company’s ico.

The sale of the received tokens is below some maximum price, which was, I don't consider as a sale at a loss. In fact, everything is relative. It is necessary to evaluate the project as a whole, how promising it is, what events await it ahead, what funds and under what conditions took part in the token sale. Only after such an analysis is it possible to realistically assess whether it is worth selling a coin at the moment, or it makes sense to wait. And if after analysis it turns out that I get less money for the sale of tokens than I could, then it will not upset me greatly. I will not waste my time on the negative, but rather direct my energy in a different direction and try to make money with something else.

In any case, it is not always necessary to sell coins at low prices.  And first of all it depends on the real prospects of the project and how the team works.

The market rank changes constantly and it is better to sell the bounty tokens at first available price rather than waiting for the bull run.  The team can't make any big changes to the token due to free market activity.

Exactly, the team cant control the price one the holders are starting to sell their coin and if you were left behind you will just regret that you wont sell your token from the time that the price is better. Most of the time once the token got listed it will be hard for that coin to recover after major dump.

Not necessary if you believe that the project is so good. But if it isn't, you should start considering of selling that and move to a better coin as an investment before your money is gone. That's how you take if you value the coin that you have, you need to sell at loss and recover in some other coins or sell if you are contented with it.

The goal of keeping is trusting the project to bring best outcome to your investment, if you don't find that from what you are holding and you already losing your trust to such project, best to sell it out with loses and try your luck to find another one which you think can give you benefits to recover or to earned more, cutting your losses and try to work it out to another assets is a diversion you only need to understand that you should not make the same mistake again when you pick another project to invest your money.

Nothing wrong if you are selling these tokens since you just took them from bounties. I guess that most of the bounty tokens are hard to dispose because of too much belief that they will moon, you have difficulties of selling them.

Well that's true, but though it's hard to accept, we need to be realistic that some tokens we are holding will become worthless in the long run.
More and more competition are coming in the market, some will survive and some will not, so you know already if your holding has a good chance by monitoring the performance of the team.

Why we sell at a loss? If we are sure of the performance and future of the bounty that we follow, be patient for profit better than sell at a loss, but if there are many negative issues such as a scam, then selling a loss is certainly better than not getting anything.

Thank you

I have tokens on hold but it didn't came from bounty because I don't join them and you know where are they now? they are now worthless and useless. Zero value and that's because I didn't chose to sell it when it has a good price last year.

Bounty tokens aren't free per say cause we worked for it. Talking about selling at loss, it all depends the project and also the market condition. The project has alot to do with if I should sell or hold. If it's a promising project, then I won't sell at low price and vice versa.

Selling token at loss is not advisable but it still depends on what the market looks like. Sometimes holding when the market is looking bad isn't a guarantee that the token will moon later. Some coins I hold have remained stagnant while others even died off. So sometimes selling at loss is a good choice.

As much as I'd like to believe it, actual token owners who are also actual supporters of the project don't exist anymore. Especially not if it was an ICO token. It's a conflicting concept anyway, to own tokens/coins for a project that had to be bought, because people who support ICO projects at the end of the day are seeking only profit. So as a bounty hunter, if your bounties were part of ICOs, then you know it's just a matter of when to sell. You already lose as soon as you start (time and effort).
