yes maybe but remember now investors are still afraid to invest in ICOs, because on average many ICO projects don't meet expectations. and currently the market is being too risky to invest. so they prefer to secure their assets and find ways to return their losses. Even though at this time quality projects only get a small amount of funds, even only softcap, it doesn't seem to matter because there will always be investors who buy their tokens on the market.

The problem is that there is a lot of ICO team that don't deliver their promise, they don't further develop their product after they got the money. Seeing so many failures in ICO investing, it's normal that the investment isn't as lucrative as it used to be.

I think it's good though because ICO has been a stain for cryptocurrency ecosystem so far due to the sheer amount of "scam" and lack of professionalism from ICO developers. It's time for all those money to be spent on things that really useful like Bitcoin.

Ico do not raise funds because there is no new money. Old money walks from one project to another and the basis still remains on the bitcoin. Since last year, a lot of projects have become scam and this scares away some investors. And most of the projects have a current whitepaper and that's it, and it’s not known if the team can handle it in the end.

It's indeed but investors do not invest due to the low prices on the market and all situation. 2018  is bad time for conducting ICOs

Most investors are not having a better returns for their money,  so most stayed clear of ICO, until we have an enabling environment.
Investing in ICOs now comes with great risk unlike what we used to have, from me, I will rather invest in coins already in the market than ICOs now.

Currently there are many ICO scams that are very detrimental to investors, and some ICOs only last a few months and after that are worthless, making many investors now lose confidence in the ICO, I hope there are programs that can detect ICO fraud quickly.

a solid roadmap and goals

with all of that in mind its hardly a wonder that most ICOs fail or flutter after launch - a lot of them have great ideas but no idea how to pull them off once they have all that money at their disposal and they are done in by mismanagement and goals that they simply fail to achieve or correct.

I think a lot of them, when faced with the first "trouble" tend to panic and overcorrect, which is just about the worst thing you can do.
even if you F'd up, the best thing to do is to admit it to your audience and be ready with a plan on how you will correct things, but I guess its some sort of macho ICO pride that prevents them from doing that and does the project in.

I think investors began seeing that, probably sooner than the regular public and so over the past few months have been far more careful with how they spend their money.

In my point of view, there are no problem with the quaylity of ICO projects. However, the investors are too scared when they have lost what they invested. You can imagine that what will you do when you are holding tokens which are lost 10 times value from the ICO price. They dont have enough money to continue

Investor didnt trust ico anymore. Because almost all ico is a scam but not all there some still legit ico like datareum , digipharm and twogap. If you look to there whitepaper thier platform are unique and there partnership are famous and trustable. Maybe investor will back to invest after the market recover.

Most of the ICO investors now are taking the rest because of the situation of market now and ICO projects mostly is a scam. They are temporarily stay away from with it, because they afraid of losing again.

The problem is that for investors to get profit we need the token price going up, which is not necessarily the case even if the project is generally successful. There might be an ICO that uses tokens as rewards or accepts them as payments, but if they are not used extremely often, the price will start declining and investors will lose interest. On the other hand, some overhyped project with no significant move towards reaching its main goals can get traded like crazy and investors will profit from it. It's a hard and tricky market we re dealing with and unfortunately the most traded cryptos do not necessarily have the best projects behind them, but the former affects the price more than the latter imo.

You are right, a lot of projects do not attract HardCap. It seems to me that investors are afraid to invest their money in projects, because the dynamics of ICO prices when entering the exchanges is very bad.

I agree with you. Actually it's very difficult now to make profits through investing in ICO because of the situation of market now, almost all are in the low price. But this coming december, I hope that bull run will come and do not expect that it will be like what happened last year.

Even if there is a bull run it will not going to be a golden bull run like what happened in 2017 because the prices fell too much so people will have take time to accumulate the growth of the prices again and it will be much slower process like 2013 bear market.

there are many examples of ico that happened before, have a good concept and achieve hard cap. but until now the project has not developed or growth and the price of the token has never reached the price of ico. only a few are successful and can get into the top 100 coins, the rest of the other projects just waste money and create something that is useless.

because of this, investors are bored and start leaving ico, if there are many good and promising projects, so why should we invest in ico that is not yet clear about its future?
