Its only a dream, from now on no altcoins can replace bitcoin. Xrp total supply is 100 billion very huge supply which is 60%  of XRP tokens are owned by Ripple. Maybe it is possible that ripple surpass bitcoin but it takes time and not this end of year 2018.

but in my opinion it will be difficult because the number one coins in the world of cryptocurency is just bitcoin future coins

before becoming number one, xrp must be able to prove themselves first to become a heavy competitor of bitcoin, and that can only be done if xrp manages to attract more than half of crypto users

I somehow do not hope the ripple becomes the number one. It would certainly not be good if bitcoin is replaced by ripple. Then the idea of a decentralized currency would have failed.

Everyone will say " NO ", even crypto market colaps XRP will never become leader of cryptocurrency. We can see crypto history, market chart and news, there's no sign XRP become number one. Complete your post with reason so we can give you realistic opinion.

In my own opinion, I think that XRP may still remain in the top 3 at Coinmarketcap exchange listings. It may take a while for XRP to achieve such goal and basically the chance of becoming the 2nd rank coin is not far for XRP to meet such goal since it had already tried to overlap ETH in the past month but it didn't take longer. For as long as many investors would be investing in XRP, definitely such goal would be attain in the 2nd rank position but not in the number one slot.

Good point and explanation! However, XRP developed more partners and just this morning I've read that there are more platforms such as paid social media platform  that will use XRP as a payment to their contributors and content creators as well as more platform being developed that will adopt the usage of Ripple's XRP.

I believed this will add more confidence to Ripple thay will level up and able to compete to the top cryptocurrencies.

Just what they claim they don't aim to be on top they focus on adoption and that what they want to do. Its true that they can make thousands of transaction per second which is why they brag for it. But truth is they are not the only who can do that, graphene and even waves platform can do that as well. The only advantageous for XRP is that they partnered with financial institutions.

Ripple to be number one I think not. ethereum bitcoin and even still be above of ripple and certainly to be able to shift it's not easy. possible to ethereum can simply shift since this has happened a few times. and because of the growth and development of ripple which looks pretty good then do indeed deserve if the ripple starts accounted for investment assets.

Never. XRP will not be the number one crypto, because this coin does not has anything familiar with crypto currencies. The devs are pretty strange and I think Ripple is centralised, without any limited supply. I wish I could sell my XRP when it was at 3 USD per coin.

every altcoin tries to displace bitcoin, also ripple. but so far no altcoin has managed this and i think in this year will not change anything. even ethereum did not make it and therefore i think it will be very, very hard to replace bitcoin.

never will, at this time the ripple value is back down you can check it on the marketcap. a few weeks ago the difference between ethereum was quite tight, especially if ripples wanted to rival bitcoin it would not have happened.

Definitely, people just making few coins popular without knowledge and I don't even understand how they compare all these stuffs with the king of cryptocurrency. Sudden improvement in ripple has created lot of miscommunication. Few say it will be top in the next few years. I am sure it will not overtake BTC as XRP is a centralised coin as bank is supporting this coin investors will not give much priority to this. This community is entirely different from bank that's the reason it was developed.

XRP is not the best coin to invest in and I hope a lot of people undestand it. XRP is a centralised coin, that has nothing to do at the crypto currencies market. It is a modern banking technology, but not a crypto currency.
