Worst year of trading for me damn

This is the worst year for me too in trading but i have good income from bounty, so overall this year is still good for me, and i cant wait to see bull coming, will sell half of my bounty reward at the next bull

I am thinking about to switch on long term investing for better results.

When downtrend dominate the market then the price will be so unpredictable likewise the current situations that very often i see people had wrong predictions and the common effect is they were lost however i do have same situations such as you that after i sold the particular coins then suddently the price lifted again and it was happened repeatable

So after the bearish market came
I've been holding more alts than BTC/ETH

Coins like COSS, NANO, CND and etc
I been making loss and missing out most of the pump because i sell these coins and convert it to ICON (ICX) which i waited it to be move
So basically after everytime i sold my specific alts, few days later it went 100%   

NANO, bought at 0.011 ETH i sold at 0.005 ETH, 7 days later, it went up to 0.013 ETH. Hold for almost 6 months and sold, it went up after 7 days.
Same to NANO, COSS

Everytime i sold, within days to 1/2 week
It pumped like crazy

Just like COSS
Sold off 100k at 28 ETH last week
Today 100k COSS priced at 53 ETH

Holy i been making huge losses in 2018 

Your exasperation caused you to lose so much. Lesson for others to learn, don't be in a hurry to sell off, be calm and watch how the pumps happen, always check the chart regularly, be on a long term investment when you are trading with altcoins including Bitcoin, Hold and never sell until your profit is fetch.

If we compare 2018 year to 2017 year of course the most have losses in crypto. But try to compare you crypto portfolio from 2016 with the current in USD for example. In that case the situation will looks much better. Also bearish market can't be infinity.

Its better to hold our coin for long term at least for 3 months. Its happen to me too, after i am selling my token, the token price rising double in just  a week. After that lesson, i am prefer hold my coin and token at least 3 months

I havent probably even made one trade this year after February which is pretty sad. Thats shows how bad the crypto economy is and doest look like it will get better anytime soon. One of the few things that can save crypto is another economic crisis.

It's not trading if you are holding it for 6 months and it's not like the one you are holding is a bad alt, nano is a special case because of that hack incident it can't recover the value, i also have nano but i'm still in green because i also ride the wave up and sold after the hacking incident. Also if you want to hold then you have to have a strong will to do that, bear market won't be over in a short time so if you don't have the patience to hold then you should've sold it sooner.

there are many people who experience bad things like you, including me, this year the market is not very good for everything from trading, ICO investment, to bounty hunters. there is no significant benefit this year, I really hope that next year will be much better than this year.

We only lose if we choose to sell at a loss.  If people invest more than they actually have to invest... in other words if you are using food/clothing/housing money on an investment I'm sorry but you are just plain wrong.  Other than that, why sell at a loss?  I really hope people aren't just listening to hype.  

Yes, I think bitcoin will go lower.  Could be $2,000 USD or maybe 3K or $4,000 USD... who knows?  But if/when it goes lower it won't matter why because we have learned that no matter how bad the disruption cryptocurrency isn't going anywhere and the value can't be destroyed even if it means the most catastrophic failure.  

Remain calm and HODL even if stuff was stolen we have learned that we are capable of recovering from anything.

I purely understand your stand. But this is too idealistic and for some who are selling at a loss, I also understand them. It may be, this is all that they have for now and they don't have anything else to spend for their everyday living.

It's just a trials for us so don't just give up because everything will be fine and still have another day in where it has a chances to recovered all our losses of coins,bull run comes anytime so buy another potential coin to earn quick profits.

I became impatient to one altcoin to MFTU sold it - loss of 10% for 10 eth and then an hour after i sell it it get pump at 200% and I could have gain a lot more profit than that. That's why I becoming more careful when I'm going to sell my alts.

I suffered losses in trading due to lack of information about the project, panic sell and fear of losing more money made us regret.
