@ LeonArdo This looks very interesting, the interface is similar to what you find in a brokers office, it's about time we had one too.

If you do a plugin for Bitstamp too I'm in.

Cryptsy is shit, orders don't get filled half the time at the right time and massive lag issues, double spends = accounts go into negative balance how will the bot work with those problems?

Also why don't you sell the software with a USB ignition key, like many professional audio recording software companies do they also use Internet Verification that stops people passing on a copy of their program. that may stop the scam accusations. I personally wouldn't be happy with giving you half of my keys no matter how much you say it's safe and it seems like the wrong way of going about it too.
Not sure how hard it would be but take a look at this it may help point you in the right direction, http://www.propellerheads.se/products/reason/index.cfm?fuseaction=get_article&article=copy-protection

Looks like a lot of work has gone into this, I'll be keeping my eye on this. Well done.

Is it closed source or open? I'm not sure I would trust something with my trading API keys unless I could view the source code first to make sure there isn't anything fishy going on.

It's closed source. But you can create an extra set of keys just for leonArdo and furthermore even if we had both your API keys (which we never will, only a hashed version of one of them) we couldn't withdraw anything from your account anyway (see peace of mind section in first post).

Also why don't you sell the software with a USB ignition key, like many professional audio recording software companies do they also use Internet Verification that stops people passing on a copy of their program. that may stop the scam accusations.

We also thought of using something like a USB Ignition Key (one of us also has some audio background Smiley
But for now we will stick with the key thing. It's what others used (here in the forum) and we already altered it so that you even have to send us less info.
Just because we wouldn't give our full key anyone either!
We are not a company (yet Smiley, so our resources are limited and it seemed like the best way (for now).
We really appreciate your suggestions and hope you understand our decision.

Bitstamp is on the list Smiley
We also know what a pain cryptsy can be. The idea is to take care of that in the background.
When you place/alter an order, the software will take care of it. You'll just be notified when the order was placed.
Have a look at the notification bar in the video to get an idea.

What other markets would you like, guys?

And a few questions around plug-ins ...
are new algorithms also called plug-ins?
Do plan to implement more than the two you already have?

definitively. There will be more strategies.

If you have an idea for one, let us know and we will take a look at it.
We are also considering to support third-parties to write their own strategies in the future.

Sweet ... please offer a python based interface for your third party plug-ins. Either direct or REST is fine.

Cheers

We plan to have a general interface for the language of your choice, it may even be REST based.
The first release however will not support it yet. At the moment we are focused on making leonardo as shiny as it can get Smiley.
Additional features like plugin support will be added later.

A quick update from us:

At the moment we are working on the last touches for the first release but also on a unified trading API (e.g. REST as proposed by one4many).
With that API we want to enable you guys to be able write your own strategies without worrying about the implementation details for every market.
Also leonardo can be used to analyze/control your bots as you can see in the video.
If anyone is interested in writing their own strategy, feel free to let us know your needs and feature requests.

Sometimes, an idea pops into your head and you ask yourself: why didn't I come up with something that easy/trivial in the first place Smiley
The same happened to us when we were re-thinking the account verification process.
The result is that you don't even have to provide us with half of one of your keys anymore (which was already less than some others ask for). Now, a simple hash (SHA-256) of it is all we need!

Edit: Would be great to see what you can do integrating this software with counterparty (and the other 2nd gen dex when they get round to theirs!).

Welcome and thanks for your bid Smiley
Until next week we are focused on the first release, but we are already in talks with other developers to join the project.
Getting leonardo to work with counterparty and other DEXs is something we are really looking forward to do.
We will keep you updated!

Actually our plan is to support all major exchanges and also de-centralised exchanges such as counterparty (XCP). We have started with BTC-e, and will next add Cryptsy before tackling XCP and bitstamp and whatever else there is a demand for! We have already had very positive contact from the XCP team and are looking forward to working with them to create the best possible user experience.

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions Smiley

Hey Guys,

Are any of you senior/hero members interested in providing the escrow service for leonArdo?
We thought: why not pay the fee to someone who is interested in leonArdo and is reading this thread anyway Smiley
Just drop us a message. If no one calls dips we'll run it through someone else.

Have a nice day and keep on bidding Wink

Hi everyone,

as I'm interested in this product and a long time user of bitcointalk, I would offer the service for the leonArdo Team, if they accept and trust me.

I would charge a 1 % fee in BTC for the transactions (this seems normal here on bitcointalk for low risk transactions).

If someone wishes to use my service for this software purchase contact me after you have been acknowledged as one of the winners in this auction by the leonArdo team.
I will promise to make the transactions as smooth and swift as I can for all three of us (buyer, seller, me).  Smiley
Keep in mind I'm on CET, so nothing will happen at 4am usually, unless my insomnia kicks in.  Wink

Thank you and good luck with the auction!

Regards

So, we are nearly there for auction deadline!

Check out this nice image of a leonArdo instance I am using for testing. It's great having a product that pays you to test Smiley
