I just started solo mining HEMP today.
Found a good chunk of blocks so far and was waiting for my first bonus block...
I noticed I got what looked like an orphan block, so i confirmed via listtransactions that I did indeed get an orphan.
but to my surprise i noticed that I had found a bonus block worth 1750 just before the orphan. however I do not see the block in the immature status in my wallet even though listtransactions shows it as immature.

Any idea what the heck happened here ?
I see that cgminer is reporting a good number of getwork failures... not sure what causes them or what effect they have. I have recieved GF on other coins when solo mining before and noticed that my expected payouts were quite low compared to what I would get on a pool, so i went with the pool on those coins. but I am getting way better payouts solo-ing HEMP... so far I have found 16 blocks in under 2 hours with 2.6 MH/s. could the GF's have anything to do with this ? still find it odd that it shows as immature in listtransactions.
I think I have seen similar instances of this before on other coins... but didn't actually see it happen, so never followed up on it.
Any help/explanation would be very much appreciated.
Thanks and really like hempcoin so far... apart from this mishap, but gonna stick with it and yes I have started voting on mintpal

I wouldn't think very long since the code is all open source (maybe 1 to 8 hours depending on how smart you are with servers and cryptocoin technology). I have no idea which hosting company would let you host this sort of thing for free and anonymously or I might try to do it. I believe these are the best block explorers but please list others if you know of some: http://live.insight.is/ << open source code available, link on the right side column. Looks amazing to me, especially with the qr code scanner. I would love this for hempcoin! Looks like it uses a lot of server resources and may require someone to pay for a server every month. (Maybe if everyone asked hempcoin.org nicely they will install this version on hempcoin.org). These things are security risks to have on the same server as other things so maybe they will have to get another server and use a subdomain like blocks.hempcoin.org. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Abe << open source very light weight, compared to insight, block explorer that works great but would require a new UI skin. |

If anyone has $5 to $20 you can check out fiverr.com and search promo.
People will make promo material for whatever you want and say whatever you pay them to say.
They will also do social media work like tweeting/retweeting, facebook page posts, backpages in 130 countries.

By no means has pot coin or dope coin become huge but still they are 40 times harder to mine than THC. If you want to really get involved in a coin this is a good one. You can mine lots of coins and then become a supporter. In 8 days you can mine the same amount of pot coins it would take 1 year to mine! Also only 250,000,000 hempcoins (+ POS coins) compared to 420,000,000 pot coins so it is twice as rare. The earlier you start mining the sooner you will also start to earn POS coins. BUT... The best reason you should mine this coin...is that it's turning to an x11 with proof of stake coin in about 1 month +/- some time! (This is really happening, it isn't just speculation. It is just a hard task to complete.) This coin is going to be huge. This might get pumped and dumped once it gets on mintpal. Feel free to dump your coins the moment it gets on mintpal and then buy them back the next day for less if you think that is what's going to happen but x11 and proof of stake will make sure it has a very long lifespan. There is also work on a process to integrate THC payments with current Point of Sale systems that credit cards currently use. ASICs are coming soon. This is a coin for the future. . |
