interesting enough, the orphan block was a bonus block ( 875 ). First time I have seen a bonus block orphan.
I remember seeing a couple for the short period I had a pool running. I couldn't figure out how to fix the cron issues and just paid everyone out of my pocket. In turn I shut down the pool. |

Many companies aren't releasing new asics, like Zeus and the Volcano, or KNC and GAW not putting ASICS in the hands of miners. Which are you referring to? Ensilica and Flower partnership? That won't happen for another few months. |

Many companies aren't releasing new asics, like Zeus and the Volcano, or KNC and GAW not putting ASICS in the hands of miners. Which are you referring to? Ensilica and Flower partnership? That won't happen for another few months. Shipping date slipped from 15th December to 19th January, which either means is bullcrap or 1st batch is gone and just about to fire up. Or they are just going to mine and sell used stuff a month later. |

That won't happen for another few months. I was going off the information that Zeus and KNC said 3 months that they would be shipping Dec 10h. You will still be able to rent cheap miners if that is what the new style is going to be. It's probably cheaper to do it that way since they must be located in the cheapest power location. A multi-algo PoW coin with PoS is the way to go. None exists yet though. I'm working on making one right now. It's tough, no one has figure it out yet. |

Yeap, TREX is again destroying a lot of coins. I start to hate those guys, but i believe i'm not the only person, TREX is getting less and less volume because of lake of understanding. |

From mining UTC, I hated having to find my optimal gpu settings every every few months and what was supposed to be easy predictions from math ended up being a nightmare until everyone got settings posted in the forums. It was a real pain the butt. Not saying it can't work here, but take that into consideration. Anything algo-wise with a "farm" behind it is null at this point in the game. Even the multialgo idea fartbags has will only benefit those people with massive farming rigs. We need something that will pay a fair share to the miners, but how to determine size to payout without discrimination. |
