How the hell a lot of people have so high MH/s rate?? First 100 on http://hvc.1gh.com/ have 2-75 MH/s. I'm mining on 20 x Quad Core processors and I have only ~1MH/s. What hardware they have? maybe a farm of 100-200 computers or botnets? i have 400 Dell server dual L5639 got 60MH on http://heavycoinpool.com

yup that's the logo as far as i'm concerned, awesome. Pretty nice looking. How does it look scaled down to icon sizes? It needs to look clear and recognizable at small sizes too.

Textures and 3d don't do well at smaller sizes so you basically have to remake the entire thing anyways. This was to try a heavy/solid coin texture. My favorite creation is still the second one though. Pure heaviness.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

What hardware they have? maybe a farm of 100-200 computers or botnets? They must be slow quad core processors. My Phenom II 1055T is doing 170kh/s, which means I'd need only 6 to get 1MH/s. Granted it's a 6 core CPU, but Phenom IIs are far from being top dog.

would be nice if we could get more updates from the devs regarding windows binaries for the pools, marketing, generally what's happening etc. I mean they are who the community is looking to predominantly.
Hello! We are in the process of preparing windows binaries (and others) for the Heavycoin cpuminer. Simultaneously our stratum-mining code is in testing over at heavycoinpool.com. We are currently waiting to hear back from them regarding a couple issues. Hopefully everything is fine and we can make the full release soon.
Wrt marketing, promotion and strategy, we intend to campaign hard and effectively with the goal of bringing Heavycoin into mass adoption. This effort would be in vain without an equally well organized and effective campaign by the community. We believe that ultimately Heavycoin _is_ its community, and an extremely good one to start with! So, we developers are but one part of a much greater entity that is Heavycoin. And that is the way it should be! Many different talents and ideas are needed to bring Heavycoin to its maximum potential, which we believe is among the top crypto-currencies, such as Litecoin, Peercoin and Bitcoin.
There are bounty funds provisioned for along the journey, and these will be carefully spent on the things that matter most. However, the most important thing is probably to have a good plan. One productive (and fun) way to start building plan is with some brainstorming and constructive informal discussion on this thread. With that in mind, we'd encourage you to start discussing and debating ideas and strategies for promoting Heavycoin and expanding the community. We believe there are no stronger movements than open and decentralized movements. Call it what you want, Cathedral vs Bazaar, Hierarchical vs Chaos. At the end of the day, no one want a dictatorship or too much hierarchy. We believe there is no more powerful voice than hundreds and thousands of individuals acting for a common goal, with a shared vision. This is not to say there should be no leaders, but instead it says there should be many leaders, in each area, some overlapping even with opposing views. We've already heard from many people in PMs who are interested in taking on tasks such as marketing, branding, graphics design and promotion. Now is the time to open this discussion up on the forum, so that everyone can be involved and help vet ideas. This is what we want the Heavycoin community to be about. Let's make it happen! To anyone who missed it ^ Im convinced. +1 I'll switch from 1GH once Windows binaries are ready Bringing a massive 170kh/s with me

My quad processors did his work well when they was mine QRK, PTS, Q2C. I had pretty nice profit

is this supposed to be normal with an i5 2500k ? when I see everyone in the top 100 with rates between 2 mhz & 80 mhz on 1gh, I'm kinda worried, it almost looks like there's a secret GPU miner

when I see everyone in the top 100 with rates between 2 mhz & 80 mhz on 1gh, I'm kinda worried, it almost looks like there's a secret GPU miner GPU miner is impossible with the HVC core, check this page http://heavycoin.github.io/about.html#cpu-only for details Some people have a lot of merged CPU hash power. it looks insane, yes. but they do.. the top 100 are people with a lot of CPU power.

yeah I read the statement. I still kinda smell a rat though Right now, mining with 3-4 ghz quadcore brings you about 40-50 HVC per day, so even @ 0.00006 rate , it's 5 times less than any GPU coin, plain ridiculous

tried switching but got "booooos" so switched back to 1GH maybe because of the miner. they only currently have a beta linux "custom" miner so no use to me. maybe they will get more traffic with a windows miner, until then its back to 1GH for me. i tried... ua

Why do you feel that you necessarily need to sell your freshly mined HVC @ 0.00006? whatever you think it'll magically worth in some virtual future with the help of some faeries, it doesn't even pay back the electricity for those who mine at home So unless one owns some shady network or have access to a supercalculator, better forget this...

False. Mining with an 8 core Xeon, getting around 80 HVC a day. At current prices: 0.00006223 BTC/HVC x 80 HVC = 0.0049784 BTC x 633.5 USD/BTC = 3.15 USD / day That's around three times my power consumption costs. At current rates. That said, you better hold your freshly mined HVC some time.
