It's still best to practice in actuality and get onto that table, pressured or not, we know that it's gonna be worth it if you're looking to play in the long term because this is a type of game that requires time and if you want to be on top, you have to do what's necessary as it requires more experience.
You're right, and gaining experience is not that hard these days, especially with platforms such as SwC, where you have tables with stakes at low as 0.02/0.04 chips, which is roughly $0.03/0.06 in you convert its value to USDT, and that's too low, and perfect for someone who is trying to gain experience because you can literally play for whole day with only $5 or less if you don't go all-in and lose it all at once. That's right, it doesn't have to be that costly to join those low stakes tables in SwC and that's why it's for everyone and for those who wants to start playing poker and don't know where to start. I can attest to that, even in the free rolls. The best are joining there and so I am following them usually and trying to stay as much as I can.
I've also noticed that even very good and experienced players join freerolls, and that's only because they want to practice, obviously, because no one would waste their time completing for a few chips if they don't have any other motives. I do the same, I never play freerolls for money, unless it's a private one with a higher prize for the top three or so. These good and experienced poker players won't be spending 1-2 hours or even more in table for that 10 chips. And so, it's a perfect playground for those who would like to improve.

How much did you buy the book for, by the way? And what's the name of the book? I've never read any books or articles about poker techniques or ways that can improve our gameplay; everything that I've learned is from practical experiences, participating in tournaments, freerolls, and playing cash tables with small stakes, just like what I suggested above. The same as me, I have never read a book of poker techniques but I just go to youtube videos and watch all of the tournaments that comes to my wall. It's still best to practice in actuality and get onto that table, pressured or not, we know that it's gonna be worth it if you're looking to play in the long term because this is a type of game that requires time and if you want to be on top, you have to do what's necessary as it requires more experience. The book is titled poker for dummies. It cost $12, I will read it while I do the practice with every competition I will eventually come across let's see how I build up. If it doesn't help much I will switch to YouTube. Try to participate in as many tournaments as you can, especially the ones which are free, because you will play against good players in them, and that can give you a lot of experience.
There is a huge point here. I understand practice and consistency is the key to becoming a good player. To be honest the table is quite intimidating but I am no longer dragging my foot I will launch back this time with all my might but not in aggression but with a subtile nature learning from every game.

I just finished playing, unfortunately I was only able to finish in 8th place in the mini deep turbo satellite tournament. Then in the freerol I managed to finish in 6th place. Honestly, it was quite dizzy for me to play on two tables at the same time. But it was quite fun, because for 1.5 hours I played it kept my mind quite entertained. And I was quite satisfied with the results I got, even though I didn't win first place.

I guess that for every gambling game there could be a book for it dedicated by a co-gambler trying to help other gamblers know about the game itself. And that's what we're saying that it's best to do the actual play of poker but it's also fine if some theories from any book that's read is applied. Whichever works for the new ones, it's fine because it's seen that they're trying their best to learn more about the game. I just finished playing, unfortunately I was only able to finish in 8th place in the mini deep turbo satellite tournament. Then in the freerol I managed to finish in 6th place. Congratulations, not bad that you've ended in those places. Some players really are good. I can't even play in two tables at the same time, so you're a legend man. There are still other tables to be played with later.

With my extensive playing on SWC, I now know many players and their thought process which is more advantageous as we could devise strategies based on it. I think strategies with experience would be more practical than what you read but again not everyone could analyze and make strategies on the go. I am also trying to make an online guide for different poker games. Though it doesn't go as deep as having different strategies, having a few playing concept won't hurt. I'll search for books like that and summarize it to provide it for free for everyone online. I had to some degree made it but I was so busy this month that I'm not able to finalize it. I'll be taking a leave from my work next month so my site would be live by next 3 months. I'm not a professional player either so it would be more of a guide on what games and rules are than specific strategies to win.

Yes, the plan will be great. But I think it is not possible to gain completely knowledge by reading websites and books online. Because the online guideline has to play as well as poker games. For example, you are gaining your experience playing poker or tournament with different players. Therefore, it can be said that you do not analyze all the techniques as easy as you do. It will be very difficult to understand those who are new. Because the situation is not always one. That is why I would say to learn different strategies as well as test yourself in different ways.

Well, it's not always about money, warming up is a thing too, and it's not only good when you are playing sports, it's good when you are about to play any game where you will either need to use physical or mental strength, and in poker, your mind is the one playing the game because you have to be smart and sharp, and quick to realize and understand how others are playin the game so that you can call their bluffs or challenge them in the coming bets. So, freerolls are good ways to warm yourself up, the money can be low, but most people barely play in freerolls with low prizes for the money. I hope SWC organise another poker league exclusive for Bitcointalk with decent prize pool. In the last event we had a lot of fun. I am sure Royse is planning something very interesting. Yep, same here. I had a lot of fun in the last one. I was one of the finalists, but couldn't secure any prize. The experience was amazing; so many good and known players in one place, thrilling hands, and knockouts. Hopefully, we will see a second season of it very soon.

I agree, poker is a mental game and that's why it's a good practicing yard for them. Not just to have fun but also to improve a lot of things including thinking skills and how to manage their emotions. It's a mental game and whoever isn't patient, they're the first one to fall and will get eliminated. I think that many are interested in free rolls and I've been in them for so many times, having 40-60 participants in one tournament of free roll is already a lot IMO.

Really I was surprised to have some things. Everyone has expressed the most interest in the tournament but no one is interested in Cash Game, why is it? However, I play the most in the tournament as well as the cache game. If the card is good, it is possible to win a lot of money. So come on. Let's make some money as well as make fun. Some may deny it but we give more priority to money at the end of the day.

That's correct, it's hard to find a table with player for the bet size I am willing to play with even that I also can't make some free time for my favorite hobby due to work but when I choose to play, all the tables are empty. However I always sit with familiar players which is a super fun thing with all that rage to win. Today isn't my lucky day again, I went all in with a pair of 10 against a pair or Kings and lost all my balance. Anyone who is playing at this time everyday, feel free to tag me so I can get your notification and join you, I find it more fun to challenge players from our community.

I am also interested in cash games and to be honest I prefer playing cash games rather than timed tournaments and sometimes I miss them while playing cash games I can play straight away without having to wait for hours, but sometimes there are people who think playing cash games is a waste of time there is no end time unlike tournaments which have a set completion time with commensurate rewards, everyone has their own way to have fun playing poker.

It's because IMO that there are more players in the tournaments. But I have tried to get into some cash games but it seems not preferable to me. Although I am also open to play some cash games if ever I can. While this time, my preference is sticking to the tournaments because for me they're fun. And I'll get into some cash games if ever I start wanting to have some bucks trying to win them if ever I think that I've already passed and become a good tournament player.

Playing in tournaments and cash games actually has a different feel. In tournaments, we use chips, which can sometimes lead us to play recklessly and without making sound decisions because our mindset is that we're only using chips. In cash games, however, we use real money, which makes us more careful in our decisions because our minds naturally prioritize profit. Although tournaments also offer profits, they usually depend on the size of our buy-in. A few days ago, I also played a cash game with our manager, Royse777.

Yeah and I think, that's why I prefer to get into tournaments because of using chips in the tables and I'm staying longer with it than going with the cash games. But if you've got a lot of stack of cash, it's a good preference as well. Whichever works for us as we play with SwCpoker, it should be enjoyed while we aim for both fun and some cash. Although tournaments also offer profits, they usually depend on the size of our buy-in. A few days ago, I also played a cash game with our manager, Royse777. That's nice, it's been several days/week/s since I've played with one here from the forum.

Although it may seem surprising to you here, it will seem normal to many because many people like tournaments and cash games. Again, it can be seen that they both like it because we cannot say which one will be better. We cannot force anyone to do this; we can only encourage them if they are interested, and then maybe they will be interested in that game later. However, there is nothing to deny here. At the end of the day, everyone prioritizes money more, for we know very well. I was not that interested in cash games before, but for a few days, I have also seen them. Maybe I will play cash games very soon. Although tournaments also offer profits, they usually depend on the size of our buy-in. A few days ago, I also played a cash game with our manager, Royse777. It is gratifying and another thing that gives me the most joy is seeing Royse777 playing games with us. Royse777's attendance makes us more interested in playing games. Even if we lose those games, we still get a lot of joy because we are playing games with our campaign managers, which is really interesting.
