Finally, after participating in several freerolls, I was able to finish in 2nd place. Honestly, I'm very happy to reach this position, because there were really quite a lot of players participating in this competition. So being able to finish in second place is really very happy for me.

Congratulations on reaching second place. That must have taken hours. I never expected freeroll tournaments to be so intense and difficult. There are a lot of great players in them. They know how to bluff well and at the right time. And the tournaments are always quite large. They can even reach over 80 participants if I'm not mistaken. And that makes things much more exciting.

I only managed to reach 7th place last night. I'll try again and hope to achieve a better ranking.

It's hard to understand the reasoning behind posts like this. Is really that fun playing freerolls with a 1$ price pool for hours?
Sharing these results here has what reason exactly? Except the obvious one of course. 

I think this thread should share like events and other stuff, yet the majority people can read here are results of 1-5$ freerolls. Bit strange isn't it?

If you mean we're happy with the prizes, then you're wrong. The fun of this tournament is more about the satisfaction of defeating a large number of players. You can try it yourself and experience it, unless you don't like competition. And this hourly freeroll is also part of a special event, apparently organized by Swc. So there's no harm in discussing it here. And I don't think it's about the chips won. It's about the thrill of defeating so many people at the table.

Not bad, out of all many participants you've ended in that place and also there's a small consolation. I've never received any chip when I've ended up 7th.

Well, to be fair, the current freerolls range from $6 to $25 prize pool. New players at any pastime tend to get excited with success at any level. There does seem to be a level of "post random shit for banner reward" here tho, in exactly the one thread that won't bring anyone to the site. Ah well.

I make the most mistakes with my own patience and very quickly loses, if I don't have a good card. But it will not always be like my own mind, I can get some courage without knowing it. When the small card is found, the two pair, it is very difficult. Because when I get a small card, I'm never in the field and not with the fold very quickly.

Playing too tightly may not be the best strategy in the long run. In other words, you need to learn to assess your opponent's range of hands and play not only good hands, but also average ones. And if you only get weak hands, try to bluff and steal blinds when the situation at the table allows it.

Improve your patience friend, we've been there and it's hard to control that to be honest. But you'll get there and have it longer than ever. I've become aggressive during the tables and I let it be without any regrets and fortunately, with this tournament that I've joined. Out of the 80+ participants, I am happy that I've ended up 9th place. It took I think 2 or more hours before I've reached this place. I just can't imagine out of that number of participants too many are active with swcpoker.



For me, it's not about how much chips but the pride of how I've ended with all of these players that have joined.

It is also difficult to achieve 9th place. You can spend it on Cash Game.

You're right. I've never seen it active user before. 100+ participants can be seen in some freeroll tournaments. I didn't see it in BSOP and SW Series. However, it looks great, it is possible to have fun with everyone. However, getting a prize seems to be a lot of challenging and is very difficult. I think getting a prize is not so important, but it is important to apply patiently, proper techniques. However, I am weak here.

Obviously those who participate in those freerolls are not primarily motivated by money. People do things for fun too.

I agree with you here. Posting screenshots of not-so-great hands or low-level achievements, and having extensive discussions around that, is a bit spammy, but it's a self-moderated thread, so the OP can decide if they want to keep it more informative or do they welcome all kinds of community engagement.

But I understand how the excitement of entering a tournament with many participants can bring a bit of pride when winning the tournament. Especially if it's in one of the events this site holds. I think that's fine. Instead of just talking about the purpose of someone's post and speculating about the purpose of the post which is actually indirectly off this topic. At least they talked about one of the freeroll tournaments that was also included in the event on this site and they just gave proof that they participated in it and managed to win in a ranking. And they shared screenshots just to validate their words. Because a lot of people talk nonsense but they haven't even participated in it at all. And the freeroll is also one of the interesting things that Swc offers. Which also seems to be quite successful in bringing more newbies there. I saw an increase in the number of active players in SWC after the freerolls with slightly increased chips prizes.

Well, actually, as far as I know, we can't join more than 1 freeroll tournament a day, because I joined one yesterday, and I wasn't able to register for another after getting knocked out in the first one. So we can't actually have more time for practice even if there are a lot of freerolls, but there are two good points in this: The fist one is that the prize is higher than before, we have 50, 100, and 200 chips freerolls unlike before when we used to have only 10 or 20 chips. The second point is that the freerolls are now available almost every hour, so it's not that if you miss the first one, you won't have any more to join until the next day, which is a good thing.

I missed it too, but, honestly, 200 Chips prize pool with 10 places paid isn't something you should kill yourself because of missing it. That's not to say that I wouldn't participate if I was online, though. Kudos to SwCPoker for running a lot of freerolls, big and small ones.

I know, the prize is not too big, but it's better than the usual freerolls we see on different platforms, which aren't higher than $1 or so for the first position. I used to play on Stake as well in the past, and the winner of the daily freeroll would get only $0.75. However, as I said, I don't play freerolls for the rewards, I do it only when I have time and it allows me to play some poker without spending any money if I'm not in the mood of spending money.

You're right I also can't play more than one tournament a day. Karan does not have too much free time in my hands. However, some time should be spent some time to make the mind better. Yes, the new tournament has been added in the GAP period compared to the time. Interestingly, the previous freeroll tournaments still exist. However, it seems to me that the tournaments of 50, 100, 200 chips will not be long. Maybe it's given for a few days.

On this tournament, while the prizes announced were 2 seats, while there were more buyings/re-entries, only 3rd place got on the cash pot ??

So this case, if there were more buyings/re-entries, it could have been more profitable for the 3rd position, especially since there is only the first place that is paid in the final tournament ?!

What? You can join as many as you want. If you couldn't register for another there is something wrong at your end. Looking at the two running now there are many players in both.

Initially, the prizes announced for this (qualification) tournament were 2 seats for the Friday F., and only that!

This qualification tournament was both Tickets & Money entering, So the exceeding the pool value from buying entries and re-entries is added as addition to the prize pool!

The initial prize pool value here was 500uBTC, (2 x 250 Seats)!  Suppose there was more money entered players as the cash add was more than 250 ?? Here, the third place would were profiting more than two firsts.. !

Very difficult, I was trying to aim for lower and have been so patient because there were too many participants. It's not the prize that everyone is joining but the fun and pride on how and what place they're ending. We're all weak bro, we just have to be patient and also have some luck with the cards.

I think if that's the rule of 1 free roll to join per day, it's a fair rule so that every user will get a chance to join any of them and to avoid abuse.

No, what you say is wrong. A person will be able to participate in the freeroll tournament for the day if desired and no rules will be required. I don't know it may be your problem. Because I play five to six freeroll tournaments in almost a day, which is possible for me. Because most of the time I participate in Tournament with mobile devices. I don't join through PC.

Really? Then why am I not able to register for the second freeroll after playing one? I thought the platform was not allowing me to register for more than one tournament for the day. If you are able to do it, then I should have the option to register as well. Or, maybe it's happening because you can't register for more than one within the same hour? Yes, you might say it right. I do not participate in 2 freeroll in an hour.  Maybe it has stopped you from participating. But at times I am participating in the tournament, no problem. You can try again, if the results are the same, you can use the mobile. But more than one tournament is not held in the hour and each freeroll has a minimum of one hour interval. Are you trying to join the tournament after? That means one end after one others.
