I have been creating an account on the SWC Poker site for a long time and have been gambling there and have not faced any problems yet. But the talk of being hacked here certainly seems unbelievable to me, the SWC Poker site is very safe and has strong security. You may have shared your security password and username with someone else who may have harmed you, which is a suspicious thing. Moreover, I do not think it is possible to be hacked in any way.
Some of you people seriously should start reading before making posts. He didn't say his SWC got hacked, he even posted a screenshot of his account. It is obvious he is talking about his bitcointalk account, and not SWC. And by the way, while the security at swc is of course ok, but it's not "strong security". Sure, you have the option to add 2fa to your account, but that's about it. You won't get asked to confirm your login via email or something when you suddenly have suspicious logins with IPs from around the world, that's what for example other sites would do. Since some of my past assumptions were wrong, but I am more security conscious about any account. Therefore, every person should be careful about confirming and saving passwords for any account. Especially those whose accounts are hacked are mainly hacked because of their laziness in keeping their passwords. Enabling 2FA is very necessary as it carries the most security, it is reasonable to enable 2FA for the most security.

Although email messages requesting login confirmation might seem like an unnecessary complication, I believe that (combined with 2FA) they are actually a very effective way to protect an account.
Email requesting login confirmation from an IP address that looks suspicious won't add any complication but rather it should strengthen the site and build more confident amongst users. Imagine hacking into a user's account in a site where 2FA code isn't implemented, where the hacker is from a different location and succeeds to bypassing all security checks, it will automatically compromise the users account. If someone manages to obtain the username, password, AND 2FA code, then receiving a notification about it becomes extremely valuable, because in that case, a compromised poker account might be the least of your problems. In any case, SwC Poker should consider implementing such protection as an additional layer of security.
2FA authentication code used along side other security checks has always been a safe mode to secure accounts. If SwC poker implements 2FA authentication, the security of the site will be strengthened more but having email confirmation when a new IP address gets detected is also a big plus.

Dude, you are in their campaign, you should at least know the ins and outs of the site you are promoting. It’s not that much effort to do so. Furthermore , plenty of people already posted that swc already offers 2fa, there is nothing to implement or anything. People really should get familiar with the site they are promoting, it takes like 5 minutes to do so. I’m sure every site that pays for posts promoting them would be happy about the people in the campaign actually know what they are representing.

I don't know for sure, but I'm confident that there are a lot of members of various signature campaigns that never check out the site that they are promoting. When I got accepted here, I decided to leave a portion of my earnings on the SwC site each week and play Texas hold'em with it. I love playing and this way I have a chance to further increase my earnings.

Because if there isn't necessary knowledge we will see posts like the mentioned one where a campaign member suggests things that have been implemented years ago, unnecessary spam.

Why do so many new accounts here have SWC avatars? Or is it just one person with many alt accounts with SWC avatars? I'm probably just being paranoid. No one would be pathetic enough to create alts on SWC's bitcointalk thread.

Those who see the Avatar of SwC here, basically they have joined Signature Campaign and I am among them. And those who have worn Avatar have no alternative account. There is no fear of it anyway. If you have any questions then you can feel free to say as much as possible. Or Post SwC Official Telegram Group to get Responses very quickly. If you are Poker lover, you can enjoy the swc poker. I am really surprised to see the history of your account

SwC started running a signature campaign and other marketing efforts. The signature campaign functions as de facto advertising on bitcointalk. As campaigners comment on various threads, other users see our advertising in a similar way that bitcointalk ads used to be served before Theymos turned them off. We aim to increase traffic to our poker site with this an other marketing efforts.

I have just received a new update from SwC poker Android version, i believe it's a small one due to the quick download. Personally, I find SwC a great platform despite promoting their signature and avatar this is only my honest review, it's smoother than most platforms. I wonder what this update holds new, sorry if I didn't notice any announcements about it or just a security update.
Moreover, I would like to see an addon on the platform while playing to know my best hand directly like other platforms when I hold a pair or full house because it's not available with SwC, we manually figure out what's our best cards. Just my 5 cebte

Hello - I have a question for you guys. I created an account with SwC back in 2014 and played there for a few months. I have the account name and password yet I can't log in because back then no email was required to open the account. Is it possible to regain access to the account? (it is the same as my forum name, "nutildah"). I know, its over 11 years old at this point, but it would be cool to have it back.

You can specify any nickname in the account settings. Anyone can set this username Dude, he is talking about swc, not pokernow. About the problem on hand, you should just message the official customer support and see if they can help you. Without a registered email of course its's quite tricky. Guess the wallet which was used is most likely also not in use anymore, if he had access to it this could actually prove Nutildah is the rightful owner of the account.

I could remember when I lost access to my SwC Poker account, I requested for password recovery multiple times which I never got. That made me to think twice, going as far as searching my diary where I wrote my password and fortunately I was able to see it. This alone made me more conscious of memorizing my password so I don't forget it or going as far as looking for it again. The SwC Poker team needs to put some safety tools in place just like you have mentioned. Two factor verification is very important to safeguard our account in case of hack or tendency of a third party compromising our account. Although I have not really checked if there is an option for two factor verification but if it's not available then I hope the team will consider that in future update.

I also tried recovering my password to see if I will have similar experience but I got a link sent to mail for password reset. Could it be the email entered when you tried resetting your password wasn't that linked to your account? just asking though. There is no 2FA authenticator. But I am wondering if it is really necessary. If at all it should be implemented then it will be better for withdrawal of funds to help protect gamers incase of hackers or careless exposure of login credentials.

This is just surprising because when I tried to reset my password due to impatience, I couldn't receive a link to reset my password which prompted me to go search for where I wrote it. Could it be that I couldn't do it right? Well that's cool mate, testing it to see if it will work shows that the forget or recovery password is working fine. Thanks mate for trying it out There is no 2FA authenticator. But I am wondering if it is really necessary. If at all it should be implemented then it will be better for withdrawal of funds to help protect gamers incase of hackers or careless exposure of login credentials.
The 2FA is very important to protect an account from hack or attack, although this can still be bypassed depending on the mode of the attack. Many users preferred it to email verification or all other means of account verification. Since logging in to SwC Poker does not always requires verification then many might not see it as urgently important.

What are you talking about? There is 2FA on the SwC poker site. I have it enabled and while it's pain in the a$$ having to publish out my mobile phone for every login, it's really useful so I'm using it where it is available.

I work more on my pc so I use the web version. I have navigated the entire settings and can't find 2FA. I think I have to switch to mobile app so I get the full security. But my only worries, I felt both were the same but it seems the web version is lacking some features so right away I move to getting my mobile version, experience explains things better.

I just used the web version for the first time ever and it took me exactly 10 seconds to find the 2fa section, so I am not sure what exactly you are talking about. You click on "ACCOUNT" on the upper right, then "Account security" on the left and there you have it. Honestly, it's not that hard. And I am serious, I just used the web version for the very first time (after 5 years on the download app) and it didn't take longer than 10 seconds. So I'm calling cap on this one.

I just saw it thank you. I had done the searching for repeated repeatedly before now without having a clue of where it was. I think I will switch back to my web version. It is more convenient for me.
